I stand rushing down the long path, the doors quickly open and I jump down from the bus and start to run down the busy road towards 27th Street. "Layna, wait!"
Alex shouts trying to push past the crowd of people I race down an alleyway quickly dodging an elderly woman wobbling down the footpath. I stop to catch my breath and see if Alex is still following me; The number of people on the streets have decreased need but still no-sight of Alex.
I start to wonder why I began to run, but then I realise, that 'quote' was something my mother used to say to me before she passed away; Quick .
I start to run again after I hear my name being shouted a few metres away; I slip down the alleyway, several puddles drenching my boots. "Layna!" I hear again, sprint faster voiding multiple pedestrians, before stopping to read the street signs.
27th Street The one across the quiet street reads, I look down both ways searching for an indication of which way to go. The near-by convenience flashes a sign:
15 27th Street
I take a chance and turn to walk left, hoping I'm going the right way. I hear a piercing scream a few blocks away as I walk towards letterbox that reads, 11 27th Street
