விடுகதையா இந்த வாழ்க்கை?
விடை தருவார் யாரோ?
(Is this life a riddle?
Who will give an answer?)

It was the last period of that day. Their chemistry teacher was teaching about Alchemy. Paayal was concentrating on the class as always. Suddenly, A wave of drowsiness crashed into her like tsunami waves. Everything became blurry in front of her eyes. She squeezed her eyes shut and reopened them, keeping her hands on her head in an attempt to focus. But alas! She couldn't gain her focus back. She lost her focus and fainted on Saanvi's shoulders.

Saanvi had a twitch, quickly sliding her gaze to her. It seemed Paayal was sleeping in the boring chemistry class.

She whispered, prodding her hand with pencil, "Paayal, wake up."

But she remained unconscious. There was no movement in her. Saanvi doubted whether she fainted and called their teacher immediately, "Mam, Paayal fainted, it seems."

Their chemistry teacher stopped the class and rushed to Paayal immediately. All the students too stood up restlessly from their places to see what happened to her.

"All of you stay in your places. Don't gather around her. Let the air circulate," The teacher ordered, approaching Paayal and tapped her cheeks gently.

Krishna exhibited a high degree of anxiousness and worry. He wanted to approach her to check what happened to her. But their teacher restricted all of them. All he could do was, look at her helplessly with anxiousness and worry.

"Mam, she fainted in the morning, too," Ajay informed the teacher.

"Oh," The teacher shook her head, a worry clearly visible in her face and added to Saanvi, "Splash some water on her face."

Saanvi immediately grabbed her water bottle and splashed water on her face. Paayal flinched and opened her eyes gradually.

"Are you alright?" The teacher asked, concerned.

She shook her head weakly, trying to sit straight.

The teacher asked, "The students are saying that you fainted in the morning too. Do you have any health problems?"

The teacher's question terrified Krishna, sending chills of fear through Krishna's body. She had fainted twice in a day. Krishna perceived it to be abnormal.

"Is she suffering from any disease? If yes, is that disease curable or not?" He thought, his heart aching and felt, as if the world was crumbling apart.

Paayal replied, "I don't know, mam. I was alright till yesterday."

The evening bell rang, interrupting their conversation.

The teacher announced to the students, "You all may leave the class."

The students stood up and began dispersing. Krishna and Ajay took their bags, approaching Paayal and stood near her.

"Where is your home located?" The teacher asked Paayal.

"Nearby only, Mam. It will take only 10 to 15 minutes to reach by foot." She replied.

"Oh, then come with me. I will drop you in your home. You don't need to walk in this physical condition," The teacher advised with care.

"It's okay, Mam. I will manage," Paayal forced a smile.

Saanvi intervened with concern, "It's not safe to walk when you are weak. What if you faint in the middle of the road? Already you fainted twice today. It's safe to go with our teacher."
