வானத்தோடு கோவம் கொண்டு
நீ போவதேன் பால் நிலாவே!
(What is your anger at the sky?
Why are you leaving the sky?
Oh my dear white moon!)

As the intrusive alarm disrupted the peaceful slumber, Ajay slowly opened his eyes, switching off the alarm only to be greeted by the solitude of the early morning 3 a.m. He woke up, blinking away his sleep and went inside the room, only to find Krishna and Paayal in a sound sleep.

But their sleeping position made Ajay to chuckle and also to wonder about their cute relationship. Paayal was sleeping on Krishna's lap and Krishna was sleeping on Paayal in the sitting position, leaning down to her, resting his head on her shoulder, one of his hands holding her hand. The way they were holding their hands in their sleep spoke volumes about their bond beyond words.

Ajay approached them and tapped Krishna's back gently causing Krishna to wake up from the embrace of sleep, and to sit up straight with a sudden alertness.

"What is happening here?" Ajay whispered playfully.

"Dude, I slept... " His words hung in the air, blushing lightly, as he realised that he was sleeping on Paayal, holding her hand.

"Haven't she felt your head and hands on her?!" Ajay asked teasingly.

"I don't know. But, what I know is, If she was the first one to wake up, she might have thrown her pepper powder on me. It's good that you woke me up," Krishna let out a sigh of relief playfully.

"Pepper powder?!!" Ajay inquired, looking at him with puzzle and amusement. Krishna narrated her pepper powder story to him.

"Oh God!! You should be careful with her," Ajay giggled.

"Yes." Krishna chuckled.

"Okay, Wake her up, and send her to my sister's room. Let's get ready," Ajay instructed, as he needed to get ready as early as possible to do his duties at his sister's wedding.

Krishna nodded and tapped her shoulder gently to wake her up. Slowly opening her eyes, Paayal found herself cradled in Krishna's lap. Rubbing her eyes, she gazed up at him, inquiring, "Krishna, Were you sitting for the whole night?"

He responded with a warm smile, "Hmm, Yes. You were calling me in your sleep. So, I made you sleep in my lap."

"Oh, Sorry Krishna. I disturbed your sleep," She apologised, a guilt on her face and sat up.

"No No, Don't worry. I too slept well," Krishna reassured with a smile.

"But you slept in a sitting position. You may develop back pain because of it," Paayal pouted.

Ajay thought in his mind, controlling his laugh, "Poor Paayal! She thought that he was sleeping in discomfort by sitting. But she didn't know the fact that he was sleeping comfortably on her."

Understanding her worry and affection for him, Krishna reassured again gently, "No Paayal, Don't worry. I am alright. You go and get ready."

"Are you sure? Don't you have any back pain?" She asked worryingly with genuine concern, touching his back.

Ajay intervened, "He is alright. You go and get ready first. We can't afford to be late. I know, You girls will take a lot of time to apply makeup. Start to get ready now itself so that you will be ready by 5."

Paayal pouted, "No. I don't apply any make up. I just need 30 minutes to get ready. Let me be here itself with Krishna for some more time."

"Yes, She is a natural beauty," Krishna grinned mischievously.
