(You are a little dear one
from a young mother.
You are a little rose bloomed from a thorn)As the evening bell echoed through the corridors, signalling the end of the school hours, the teacher left the classroom.
Ajay asked, "Krishna, Shall we go directly to the hospital to visit Saanvi's sister or Do you want to inform your parents?"
"I don't need to inform my home. But I think Paayal would need to inform her brother." Krishna said and called, "Paayal..."
Paayal, who was packing her belongings, sitting in her place turned to him.
"Do you want to inform your brother before going to hospital to visit Saanvi's sister and baby?" He inquired.
"Yes, Krishna," She replied.
"Okay, Let's go to your home, and then let's head to the hospital." Krishna suggested.
Paayal nodded, zipping her backpack.
"Okay Ajay, let's move to Paayal's home first." Krishna urged, rising from his place.
"Okay." Ajay responded with a casual shrug, getting up from his place.
"And Krishna, I want to buy a gift for the baby," Paayal declared, her eyes exhibiting a mix of excitement, love and pain.
Ajay chimed in, "Hey, San is our girl. She won't expect gifts and all."
Paayal clarified with a pout, "I am not going to give the gift to Saanvi. It's for the baby,"
"So, We should go to a gift shop first. Isn't it?" Ajay let out a lazy grin, feeling lazy to roam here and there after a long session of classes.
"Yes..." Paayal agreed.
Feeling tired and exasperated, Ajay lamented to Krishna with whispers, "Dude, It's very hard to handle the girls, it seems. She is making us tired."
Krishna, the romantic bundle, responded with a playful smile. "A small correction. She is making YOU tired. Not ME. I can walk with her for my whole life without getting tired."
"Oh... Intoxication of love!!" Ajay rolled his eyes.
"Shall we go Krishna?" Paayal interrupted their playful banters.
Krishna nodded, grabbing his bag.
They emerged from the school and found a gift shop nearby. Entering the store, they selected a baby pink coloured soft dress for the baby. Paayal wanted to gift wrap it.
As the shopkeeper was wrapping a shiny pink paper gracefully around the box, Krishna's mind flashed a question. He asked curiously, "Paayal, when is your birthday?"
"August 5. When is your birthday?" She inquired in return.
"May 20."
"Hmm, I will remember it every year and I will wish you," Paayal promised with a smile.
"Me too," Krishna reciprocated her promise with a smile and thought, "It is only one more month for her birthday. I should give her a good gift. What shall I give?"
The shopkeeper interrupted his musings, "The gift is ready, Mam."
Paayal took it in her hands, and asked the shopkeeper politely, "Can I use your pen?"
The shopkeeper agreed, passing her pen to Paayal. Paayal thanked with a smile and wrote 'To my sweet baby' on the label.
Krishna observed her sweet gesture, a smile playing in his lips, love for her increasing more and more in his heart.
