Lorrie walked in 'Java Lava'. Theodore and Julie were talking. As soon as Lorrie sat, Julie left. Things were still awkward between Theo and Lorrie after the kiss they had almost exchanged, but no one seemed to want to talk about it.

"Okay, got to work.", Theo said and turned around quickly.

Lorrie stayed there, until Alfie came in. He looked very excited, and ran to the table. "Guess what!", he said with a face full of joy.

"What is it?", Lorrie asked curious.

"I'm going to UK!'', he said literally jumping from his joy.

"What? When?"

"They accepted my application!"

"Alfie. Can you please calm the fuck down and tell me the story from the beginning?", Lorrie said. "You got me dizzy here."

"You remember that I applied for a six month workshop on technology in UK right?"

"No!"

"What do you mean no?"

"You never told me."

"I did!"

"Trust me, I would remember. I always remember those kinds of things."

"Is anyone even listening to me when I'm talking?", Alfie asked desperate. "So anyway, I had applied for that workshop, and they told me that my absence at school would be totally covered by them, and that they would give as a grade for every activity we did. The person with the highest grade at the end of the workshop would get a scholarship for a university in UK. This is my dream!"

"So you are leaving?", Lorrie said with a disappointed face.

"Yes, in September."

"But that's too soon.."

"Hey, we still have two months left! It's still June, and schools are closing this week, so we'll have plenty of time together!"

"And what about school? You are dropping out of school for that?"

"No, no! I could go the second half of the year to only lose two months of my school year, but the scholarship is only for the first half. Don't worry, I already signed up for a school in London and I will continue my years left there."

"So you are not coming back.."

"You will be able to see me on summers, and Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Don't be sad."

Lorrie put on a melancholic smile and looked at him. "I'm really happy for you. Being able to achieve your dream is a really big thing. I'm so proud of you."

"Thank you, Lorrie. Can you not tell the guys? I will tell them when it's time."

"Okay."

Theodore came and sat with them. "So watcha doin'?", he asked.

"We were just talking about your girl.", Alfie said.

"She is cute.", Lorrie said.

"Yeaaa, she is.. She will be back in a about half an hour. Do you mind keeping her company until I finish?", Theodore asked.

"No, it's fine."

"Thanks.''

Forty-five minutes later, Julie came in the coffee shop and sat beside Lorrie. They started talking about boys and Lorrie told her the story about Victor.

"So, ready to be a mommy?", Julie asked with a huge smile.

"Well, not entirely.."

"Your baby seems like it wants you to be ready.", she answered. Lorrie's belly had gotten pretty big, and it was impossible to hide it anymore.
