Scarlett woke up from a familiar voice. It was Theodore's mother and she was whispering, so she wouldn't wake them up. Scarlett had a huge headache. She sat on the couch. Theodore was sleeping, but Lorrie wasn't there. Scarlett stood up and walked towards the kitchen.
''Goodmorning Mrs Smith.", Scarlett said as Theodore's mother was cleaning up the mess.
"Hello darling! Did you guys have fun last night?"
I don't know, I was outside. , she thought. "Yes, it was cool", she answered.
"Was pizza enough? I didn't see any leftovers.", Mrs Smith asked.
"Well..", if I hadn't eaten the half of our food there would be a lot of 'em. ''Yes! everybody left really excited, so I guess it was a successful party! Your son really knows how to organise those kinds of things.'', she said with a smile. "Have you seen Lorrie? She is not in the living room."
"Oh yes, thank God you reminded me. She told me that she had to leave and she would call you later."
"Okay, thanks Mr Smith. I have to go home now, before my mother freaks out.", she said.
"How's your mother by the way? It's been a long time since we last talked."
"She is, you know, working a lot. But I guess she is fine. Bye Mrs Smith.", She said as she walked out of the kitchen, took her purse and left.
She decided not to call a taxi, since the day was beautiful and she would like to walk for some fresh air. On her way home, Scarlett remembered that the drunk pigeon needed to be fed, and its food had run out, so she had to go the store to buy some, before going home. She opened ber purse to see if she had money and when she confirmed it, she changed her route.
When she got into the supermarket, there were a lot of people, because it was Sunday morning and everybody had some free time. Also it was the only supermarket in the area. She didn't take a shopping cart, because she didn't need one and she went straight to the aisle with the animal food. While she was searching for the bird food, she noticed a young boy in her age looking for something. He had his back turned and she didn't see her face. She thought that maybe he needed help so when Scarlett was donewith her stuff, she walked towards him. As he turned his look at her way, she freezed and hid behind the dog food. It was him! She had to get out of there fast. Why is he in the food section?, she thought. Ofcourse. He has a cat. A bitchy cat!! She never liked me. She scratched me on the nose once!. As soon as he turned away, she ran in the cash desk and paid for the drunk pigeon's food.
When she went home, she was still shocked. She went upstairs with the food and closed the door. She fed the drunk pigeon which looked pissed off.
"Seriously? You are making a scene, because I didn't bring you food earlier? Oh come on now! If you weren't so drunk, you wouldn't be hungry so often! I'm gonna check you in, in a rehab centre if you continue like that!", she said. Then she paused what she was doing. What the hell am I saying..?, She thought.
She took her Ipod and put her headphones in her ears. They were black with a blue diamond on them. Theo had once given it to her as a gift for her birthday and she loved it. She lied on her bed and relaxed. After a few songs she got up and went downstairs to grab something to eat. She wasn't feeling like doing anything that evening. She just wanted to relax and tell her friends the news from the supermarket the next day.
They had history lesson and the teacher was still not in the class and Scarlett was bored, so she decided to tell them what had happened yesterday at the supermarket. "You won't believe whom I saw yesterday at the supermarket.", she said.
