Plague of the Mantis

I was at the Youth Center, working of course, I loved working here. Ernie made it so easy to work with, he is an amazing person. Trini was trying to learn a new form of kung-fu from Master Li. She did not seem to be doing so well at it now. I shook my head and turned back around, Ernie was serving a milkshake to Skull, they turned their backs to the counter as they watched Trini, they were making fun of her.

"How about you try it, if you think it's so easy" I told them two, just because it looked easy, doesn't mean that it is.

"We will" Bulk looked like he had an idea, though I don't think that was a good thing, should have kept my mouth shut! Skull seemed to like whatever idea that was going on in Bulk's head. He stood up, with the shake in his hands, doing some bad kung-fu moves, the shake ended up on Bulk. That made Bulk angry, and he glared at him, "Let's go hunt some bugs" I feel so sorry for whatever bug that they capture. As I was making the smoothies, I was watching Trini in the corner of my eye, Rita probably has something planned and has something to do with the mantis. Zack and Kimi walk over to the counter,

"The usual?" I asked them, they nodded their heads smiling. They sat down at the counter after I made their drinks, they do this if there is just one or two of them, I find it cute that they did that.

"Trini is looking good" Zack said,

"She's been practicing really hard with Master Li" Kimi said, and she has been. After a while, they both join Billy and Jason at their table, after the smile and thank me for the smoothies.

"No problem, guys, see you after my shift?" I asked them, they were about to answer when Ernie said,

"You could go with them if you like Ava, its quiet for the day"

"You sure?" I asked him,

"Positive" he said, I thanked them and walked over to the table with my friends. Jason smiled at me and pulled a chair out,

"Thanks" I told him, he nodded his welcome at me.

"We may all have to practice this praying mantis technique if we want to keep up with her" Jason says.

"It's so difficult!" we heard Trini shout; she was getting frustrated that she was not getting this down.

"It means you have to work hard to prefect it" her teacher said. They bow to each other; she gives Trini a cage with a praying mantis in it. I am fine with it, just if she does not come anywhere near me with that thing, I do not like bugs. Zack seems to agree with me about the mantis, Billy seemed to like it. Jason asked her why she had taken this style, and Trini told us that it emphasizes fairness, and I agree with her, seems like a cool concept. Bulk and Skull enter with their own 'Fighting Style', cockroach, don't know how they thought about that, but it was gross. Jason made up the excuse that we had to go to the library to get away from them two, which I am so happy about, did not want to stay there longer than I had to.

We were contacted by Zordon to let us know that one of Rita's monsters were at the park and that Trini needed our help. We showed up, and just as we did, the mantis monster ran away, saying that it was not a fair fight anymore, when did Rita's monster fight fair? We went to the command center; Trini was trying to figure out if she should fight the monster alone. Zack was trying to convince Trini that it was one of Rita's monsters and that she needed her teammates.

"I agree with Zack Trini, it's one of Rita's monsters, they never fight fair" I told her. Zordon then asks Alpha for information on the monster, Alpha displays it on the viewing globe and gives us information about him. She decides to practice, so that when the mantis came back, she'd be ready.

We were back at the Center, and Trini was still training. Ernie calls Trini to him and tells her that someone left a letter for her, I tilted my head confused, who could have left that? I shrugged my shoulders and went back to work, if she wanted me to know, she would tell me. After she reads it, she leaves, I see in the corner of my eye Bulk and Skull coping the roach. The others come in not that much later, looking for her. Zack asks Ernie if he seen her, and he told them that she had a letter then left. He gave the letter to my friends; we saw that it said that it was from Master Li.

"It has to be a trap" I told them after we read it, there was nothing else that it could be, he wouldn't just give her a letter, he would just tell her. "Let me know how it goes guys and that she's okay" they nodded at me. As soon as my shift finished, I ran and teleported to the Command Center, that is where I met the others, they were already there. Trini looked at me and smirked, holding her arms out, I sighed and walked into the, hugging her. Zordon commends Trini for trying to be fair, despite Rita cheating.

We were once again at the Youth Center; I was atthe table with my friends. Ernie did not fall far from my puppy eyes and didnot let me work on my day off. Trini and Master Li had just finished training,that is when Bulk and Skull began to display cockroach kung-fu. They werecharging fifty dollars an hour; you can guess that no one wanted to join theirclass. They tried to show how good it was, but they just made themselves lookstupid.
