The Green Candle

I was at work, seeing Jason and Zack practicing martial arts. They looked good, there was a dance coming up. Kimi keeps saying that Tommy is most likely going to ask me to the dance, every time she says that I just roll my eyes at her.

"Hey Ava, think we can walk along the lake?" Tommy asked as he came over to us, Kimi gave me the 'know what is going to happen' look, I just roll my eyes and smile at her.

"Sure, Tommy sounds like fun" I told him with a smile, that seemed to ease him a bit. As we were walking along the lake, Tommy seemed to have something on his mind, so I said nothing that way he could sort out his thoughts and tell me what he wanted to tell me. We were ambushed by putties and before I could do anything, Korrag showed up. Tommy was going to take care of the putties and I Korrag. I took a fighting stance, and he said in his monologue that he always says before we fight. I made sure to keep my eyes on Tommy, at first, he seemed to be doing well, until the putties took him with him. Korrag shot me away with a spell,

"This isn't over little sorceress; I will come back" he said as he left. Is he working with Rita still? Why did he just show up out of nowhere?

"Jason, can you read me?" I called on the communicator.

"Yeah, I hear you Ava, the others are here too. What is going on? What's wrong?" he asked me, he knew that I wouldn't call them on the communicator if something wasn't going on.

"We were ambushed by putties and Korrag. As I was fighting Korrag the putties took Tommy. I don't know why they did, or what they want with him. But I have a really bad feeling about this guy" and I did, something was wrong, and I had no idea what it was, and I hated it.

"Meet us at the command center, we can talk more there and figure a way to save Tommy" Jason said,

"Hear you J, I'll orb there now" I told him and orbed to the command center, of course falling flat on my face. I heard laughing and knew that the others were there too.

"You are just as bad as Harry with well just any kind of magical transportation" Billy said as he helped me up, I laughed with them, they seemed relieved when I did.

"Yes, I am" I said, just the alarm went off, we went over to the viewing globe. There was the Dragonzord attacking Angel Grove, what was that thing, something was off about it. Then Zordon told us that it was not the real one. "That makes sense now"

"What do you mean Ava?" Zordon asked,

"Well when I was looking at the Dragonzord, I felt that something was off, that something was wrong" I said, that was the best way I could explain it.

"Your magic was informing you that what you were seeing was false" Alpha said, Billy nodding and agreeing with him.

"That is probably it, thanks Alpha" I said, he nodded his welcome. "You guys go ahead. I'll stay here, call me if you need me" they all nodded and left. They were trying their best, even with the power sword it was no good. I didn't care at this point I had to help them, I looked at Zordon daring him to stop me. He must have noticed the look on my face and nodded,

"Go Ava, your friends need your help" I nodded my thanks at him and transformed into my mighty ranger form and left, I then got into my Phoenix zord and made it just in time. The fake Dragonzord was about to attack the rangers. I blocked the sword with my own before it could make contact. They seemed stunned for a second, even the fake zord was as well.

"Ava, what are you doing here?" I heard Jason ask,

"Before you get mad, I came here to help out" I said,

"I'm not mad, I'm happy you're here, we all are. We knew that you would show up" Jason said,

"So that's why you didn't call and Zordon made no moves to stop me" they nodded. I was evenly matched when the real Dragonzord showed up. "Tommy!" he nodded. "Remind me after this to hit you upside the head and then hug you" we both hit the fake zord and he went back into his original form, Cyclops. And of course, he escapes before we can beat him.

Part 2

We went back to the command center, where Zordon explains that someone must go to the Dark Dimension and get the green candle.
"I can go" I offered,

"I am sorry Ava, but I cannot allow you to go" Zordon said.

"Why not Zordon?" I asked him confused, I really want to go and help get Tommy's life and powers, he is my friend.

"I'm afraid that Korrag knows that you will want to go, and with you there and not able to use your magic or transform you will be powerless against him, and he will take the chance and capture you" I hate to admit that he was right, but he was. If I were to go there, I would be a sitting duckling to him. Jason ended up going, he looked at me, I sighed and opened my arms, knowing what he wanted, he smiled and hugged me before leaving. I turned back to Tommy who was laying out on the bed out cold.

"When you are up, I am going to slap your head and then hug the air out of you" I told the knocked out Tommy Oliver, my arms crossed, stomping my foot and cheeks puffed out. The others laughed at me, and looked at me confused, "It's his fault, he scared me, and I am happy that he is alright" they all nodded at me. "You guys go, I want to stay here with him" they all nodded, and Kimi gave me a knowing look, to which I gave her a confused one. Why was she looking at me like that? Not that much later after they left, the alarm went off, Tommy woke up at this point and we went to the viewing globe with Alpha. There we saw the Dragonzord Battle Mode attacking Angel Grove. Tommy tries to convince Zordon to let him fight, he seems to be having a hard time. "I'll be there as well Zordon, he won't be fighting this alone" he sighed and nodded,

"Very well you may go"

"Thank you, Ava," Tommy said and I nodded at him. We got into our ranger form and into our zords and we go deal with Rita's monster. We knocked him over causing him to go back to his real form. He then transforms into the Megazord, and we start to fight again. The other rangers appear not that much later and transform into Ultrazord. We all attacked at once, finally defeating the Cyclopes for good.

We got back to the command center and Zordon told Tommy that the only way to stop the transfer of power to Rita is for Tommy to give his powers to another ranger. As soon as he said that Tommy looked directly at me, my eyes went wide.

"I think Jason would be a better choice" I told him; he walked over to me.

"There is no one I would trust more with my powers than you Ava" he told me. I turned and looked over to Jason.

"I agree with Tommy. They also might help you with your fight with Korrag" he said.

"If Zordon agrees to this than fine" I said sighing. We turned to Zordon; he seemed surprised that I valued his opinion so much.

"I greatly appreciate that you look up to me for advice and I agree with Tommy and Jason with this, you are the best choice" I sighed and nodded at Tommy. He smiled at me and handed me his power coin, he demorphs and I gained the Dragon Dagger and his shield.

"Use them to defeat Rita and Korrag" Tommy said, and I nodded determined to do what Tommy wanted.

"Why don't you go check on Tommy?" Kimi asked me, I nodded and left. I found him in the park, of course practicing martial arts. When I got there, he surprised me with a quick kiss, and asked me to the upcoming dance. Still in shock of the kiss, I agreed, he seemed happy. Why did he kiss me? I am so confused......
