Different Drum

         My friends and I, still not used to saying that, never really had friends before I met them. I was behind the bar, making a smoothie for someone. Ernie wad pulling a cart full of some stuff, didn't really notice what was on the cart. I noticed that Billy was going to walk into the cart that Ernie was pulling when I gave the girl her smoothie.

"Thanks" she said,

"No problem" I said, putting the money in the register. I looked back up in time to see Billy trip over the cart and right into Kim's dance class. Kim walked up to him and informed him that, that was no way to get a girl. I laughed and shook my head, getting back to work. I focused on my work, ignoring everything else around me, I didn't want to mess anything up. I wanted Ernie to be proud of the work I was doing here. I had never had a job before, I am really glad that this was my first one. I always made Mom her smoothies everyday and fell in love with making new flavors. Ernie snapped me out of my thoughts,

"You can take a break Ava, it has calmed down" I smiled and walked around the bar and sat down. Ernie handed me a Strawberry, Kiwi smoothie. I looked at him confused, how in the world did he know my favorite smoothie was? He must have noticed my face and said,

"I noticed that every time you get a smoothie after a shift, you would always make a Strawberry Kiwi smoothie, so I decided to make you one" he said, which surprised me. He told me on the first day that I was working here that I could get a smoothie after each of my shifts. I had tried to tell him I didn't need one, but he didn't turn down. I smiled and thanked him, he smiled back. I sat with my back against the bar and looked around. I noticed that Zack had challenged Bulk to a dance off. Zack starts it off and shows some impressive moves, how could he dance so well? If I tried that I would break a leg. Bulk had went after him, barely pulling off the moves. Skull had to help him move after though. I noticed Zack coming over, and moved a little, figuring out what he was going to do. He did a handstand on the bar, his face not far from mine.

"Hey Ava" he said smiling at me.

"Hey Zack, cool move" I told him, he smiled and got down, Bulk came after he got down and tried the same thing as him. It ended with him behind the bar, I looked over the bar at him,

"You okay Bulk?" I asked him, grinning.

"I meant to do that" he said, Skull helped him up and back around the bar.

"Suuuuuuure you did" I told him. Not long after, it was time to go back to work. I noticed Kim was coming up, her class must have finished. I made a smoothie just as she came up. "Thought you might be thirsty" I handed her the smoothie, just as she sat down, she smiled.

"Thanks, but how did you know I wanted one?" she asked me.

"Just a hunch" I told her. Not that much later, a girl that was in Kim's class, Melissa came in. She started to sign quickly.

"I have no idea what you are saying, does anyone sign?" Ernie asked. I raised my hand. My Mom thought it would be good for me to learn another language, so I chose Sign Language, no clue why, just wanted to.

"I can" I said, as I walked over, Melissa started to sign again, "A monster took her friends and is holding them in a cave" I said, I signed to her, 'Can you take us to them?' She smiled and nodded. "She's going to take us to them" I told them. We began to follow her to the cave. "You take care of the monster and I'll get the girls out of here, call if you need me" they nodded. I turned back to Melissa and signed, 'Show me were your friends are and I will get you and them out of here' she nodded and lead me to them. "It's okay girls I'll get you out of here" I told them, they all smiled and nodded and then got scared. I was confused, until I turned around and saw minions around me, I started to fight. They tried to surround me, but I kicked each of them away. It took me a little bit to defeat them, but in the end I did. I got the girls out of their bounds and started to lead them out of there. When we got out of the cave I noticed the rangers in their megazord. They turned toward us as we came out. "Go get him rangers, I got them" I yelled up at them, they nodded and began to fight again. I began to lead the girls back to the Youth Center. Of course something had to happen. There stood in front of us, Koragg. I swallowed hard and turned to the girls, "Get to the Youth Center, I'll be there as soon as I can" I told them and signed as I spoke. They wished me good luck and ran.

"I knew I would find you here sorceress" he told me.

"What do you want Koragg?" I asked him.

"You know what I want" he said,

"No way am I doing that" I told him.

"You do not have a choice" I knew right then and there that there would be a fight. It wasn't that much longer till he attacked, I flew back.

"If its a fight you want, its a fight you'll get" I said, "Power of the Source Mystic Force, Power of the Phinoex" morphing into my Mystic Ranger form. I had decided on this one, because I knew it was better to fight him as this than another.(sorry I suck at writing fighting parts, if anyone wants to write the fighting scene, then I will add it to my story and of course give you the credit for it.) It took a while but I finally beat him and took off running to the Youth Center, hoping the girls are fine. I bust into the place, huffing and puffing. Melissa came over to me, grabbing my hand and lead me to the chair by the bar. She then handed me a water bottle, 'Thanks, I needed it' I signed to her, she smiled and walked to Billy, it seemed she was teaching him how to dance. I noticed Jason walking over to me,

"I was wondering if you could teach me to sign?" he asked me, I smiled and nodded. I spent a good time teaching him, he smiled and walked over to Melissa and began to sign, though what he signed made me burst out laughing, everyone looked at me confused. "What did I sign?" I laughed harder.

"You signed, 'Hello my name is Jason, and I like to walk my cat on the walls" I said, they began to laugh again.
