Switching Places

        The next morning started as it normally did, get up, get dressed and go to school. After school, go home, shower and go to work. All day I had a feeling that something was off. It wasn't until the next morning that I found out that I was right. In the hallway of school, I noticed Kim, with her make-up all wrong. I knew something was up, she never gets it wrong. I walked over to her,

"Oh, hi Ava" 'she' said.

"Can I talk to you for a moment?" I asked 'her', she nodded. We walked to an unused classroom. "Okay, what's up? Who are you and how did you switch bodies? No brains?" I fired off questions, I knew that this was indeed no Kim, something in my gut told me. I sat down on one of the desks and motioned 'her' to sit in the one across from me, that way we could talk face to face. 'She' sighed and sat down in the offered chair.

"It's me Billy, how did you figure it out so soon?" he asked me.

"Knew it, and gut feeling, I'm sensitive about this stuff" and it was true I was, I could detect anything that had changed.

"Makes sense" he said, I sighed

"How did this happen?" I asked.

"I'm not sure, Kim and I were testing my machine, something must have went wrong. It sparked and the next thing we knew we were in each others bodies. We decided to try and act like each other to get through the day till I am able to fix the machine." he explained. As we were talking about what to do and how I could help them, I wasn't as much as smart as Billy was, but I did know my way around machines and wires, Alpha called us to tell us about Genie and how we should go to the Command Center. I looked at Billy who was in Kim's body, he/she gave me a pleading look.

"Okay, okay, enough with the puppy eyes, I won't tell them. You could have just asked instead of using those" I said. I was a sucker for the puppy eyes. She/he smiled and hugged me.

"Thanks" he said.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah, lets just go" I said. We both orbed to the Command Center.

        We had gotten the Lamp, though it seemed that we did it just a little too easily. The rangers went to fight Goldar and his putties as I stood watching on the viewing globe. I watched as Alpha sent Genie to the rangers, I wanted to say something, something did not seem right. He helped the rangers, just as it seemed that everything was good, and that my gut was wrong, he turned and started attacking the rangers. It took all of their powers to defeat him, though he just grew, causing the rangers to take out their zords. I bit my lip as the rangers were losing. As I was looking around the viewing globe to see if I could find SOMETHING to help them. That is when I saw the Lamp not that for away, it was glowing, an idea struck me. If we attacked his lamp, wouldn't that affect him to, I turned to tell Alpha.

"Alpha, what if we destroyed the lamp, wouldn't Genie be destroyed as well" I said.

"Good idea Ava" Alpha said, he zapped it in the teleporter, Jason told Billy to bypass the damaged Megazord and into the Morphing System. While this was happening, Alpha was slowly feeding that power, Genie disappeared after the lamp was destroyed. Billy, Kim and I were in his garage, I was helping him fix his machines. I always loved science, even though I never made anything myself, I was really good at tech and wires. They both went into it, not that much later they came out. Neither of them said anything. I stood there and gulped, 'What if I did something wrong and it did not work' I came out of my thoughts and asked,

"Did it work?" they looked at each other, worried and scared, 'I guess it didn't work' I thought. "I'm sorry guys-" I started, but was cut off by them laughing. It took me a second or two to figure out that they tricked me. "Hey" I said smiling.

"That was payback for what you did when you first came to the command center" he said smiling. I knew what he was talking about.

"Touche" I said. Bulk and Skull ran into the garage and begged to be switched back. They had overheard Billy talking to Kim about his machine and when they had left wanted to try it, causing him and Bulk to switch bodies. Billy looked at Kim and I, his face saying 'should we?' I smiled and nodded. He slightly pouted but did it anyway. Skull had the guts to ask Billy to switch with him on his next test. "And you trust him completely to NOT get the test answers wrong on purpose to teach you a lesson about cheating" I said. Skull paled and gulped, running fast out of the garage, Bulk running after him, he looked no better, probably had the same idea as Skull.

"Really Ava?" Kim asked, trying not laugh, though it did not work that good, she hard a smirk on her face.

"What? Tell me I'm wrong" I looked at Billy. He just shrugged and looked away, "Thought so"
