Sarah: That night I fell asleep almost instantly. Even in sleep I knew what to expect. The images of her. The images that caused me to awaken screaming, only to realize it had all been true. But, for the first time since April, I found myself sleeping. And instead of the images of my best friend with blood squirting from her heart, I saw the face I had spent the day with. I saw Louis. Louis was looking at me through sunglasses, driving the Altima. His hair wa its usual messy, nearly windblown look, only this time it was from the wind pouring through my open window. I was laughing. So was he. Louis pulled over the car. He pressed his lips to mine. I kissed him back. The kiss felt endless, perfect. Louis pulled away from me, looking dead into my eyes. Even through the sunglasses I felt my heart flutter at the strong eye contact. "I love you, Sarah," he said. I felt my heart skip a beat. He kissed me again, the same, perfected dream kiss as before. An image of what the two of us may have appeared like flashed through my mind. When we pulled away again Louis looked at me, "Do you?"

"Do I what?" I asked stupidly, in that drowsy tone you always get in a dream.

"Love me?" Louis asked. The images flickered, like a movie projection. No! I didn't want to wake up. I wanted to live in the dream forever. I wanted to live in this dream forever. But, I still felt my eye lids flutter open. I was greeted by the sun streaming through my window. I felt a tear roll down my cheek. Not because I was awake. But because I know what I would've said.
