Sarah: The next night I awoke from a similar dream, this time determined to stay asleep to tell the Dream-Louis my answer. I awoke to the sounds of pebbles against my window. At first I passed it off as nothing, attempting to fall asleep again. Another pebble hit my window. I reopened my eyes and walked over. Below I saw Louis, a new pebble ready to be thrown in his hand. "Come on!" he whispered.

"I can't! It's almost," I looked at my clock for help, "1:00 in the morning."

"That's why you should come down. And change into your swimsuit," Louis said. Now, I'm not stupid. So I knew what he was asking. He wanted to go for a midnight swim. "Please," Louis said, seeing my contemplating look. Aww what the heck a little guy in my head said. I closed my window and shut my curtains, quietly opening my drawers and slipping on a swim suit. When I was changed I opened my window.

"Meet me around at the door," I said. Louis nodded and disappeared. I opened my door and quietly snuck down the stairs. It wasn't the first time I'd ever snuck out of the house, but I hadn't done it in forever. I quietly opened the door and closed it. Louis was waiting for me. We walked up the street. We were walking away from the beach. "um, Louis," I asked, "Where are we going."

"I'm taking you for, um, I guess a midnight dive," Louis said. That's when I remembered the cliffs. They were short enough so it wouldn't be bad. I nodded.

Once we got up to the cliff, Louis pulled off his shirt. This was starting to remind me of a dream. "I'll jump and show you how," Louis told me. I nodded and pulled off my jean cutt-offs and tank top. Louis smiled. He ran toward the end before jumping feet first into the black waves. I looke over the edge. Louis wasn't there. the I saw his head pop up from the waves. "Woo!" he screamed. I laughed. "Come on!" he yelled, "It's awesome."

"I don't know," I said, suddenly wary.

"Come on!" he yelled. I bit my lip nervously. "Are you chicken?" he asked.

"No!" I yelled down.

"Chi-cken! Bock bock!" Louis chanted. I sneared at him. "Jump!" he yelled. I backed up from the edge of the cliff. I ran forward and launched myself off the side of the cliff, forming a ball shape. I felt the wind of falling against my skin. I heard someone scream and it took me a minute to realize it was me. Then I felt my body slap the water. It made my skin burn for a minute. I worked my way slowly to the top of the waves. I felt adrenaline rushing through my body. When I finally felt my face surface I opened my eyes. Louis was laughing.

"Ha ha!" I said, splashing him. He splashed me back.

"Race you to the beach!" he called. I swam as fast as I could. My muscles started to ache and protest my movements but I kept going. Finally I reached a place where I could put my toes into the sand. And I was ahead of Louis. I laughed.

"I win!" I yelled. He glared at me. He splashes me and I dodge the impact of the water. I splashed him, hitting him in the chest. We splashed at eachother and we were well drenched when we stumbled onto the beach. We layed down on the beach, I with my head on his chest.

"You know Sarah, I've never met a girl like you," Louis said. I smiled.

"I've always gone for the jock types. I guess I never thought to go for your type," I admitted, looking up at the stars.

"What type is that?" Louis asked.

"Funny. Not overly popular," I explained. I felt Louis nod.

"Yeah. I always shot for the crazy beautiful girl who would just use me," he said.

"Are you saying I'm not crazyn beautiful?" I asked.

"Your a millio times more beautifu, both inside and out," Louis said. I felt my eyes flutter closed, falling asleep.

The next day I woke up from the same dream as I had been having, only to awake into a better one. Louis's arms were wrapped around me, holding me still. He was watching the waves. This time I wasn't going to wait until I woke up to tell him how I felt. I rolled over on top of him, kissing him, "I love you, I love you, I love you," I whispered.

"I love you too," Louis said, smilng broadly.
