I remember to keep holding his hand. Don't think about anything else. "You can open your eyes now." I open my eyes, and immediately throw his hand away. I turn to walk away from him and back home, but then I look around. There are pristine palaces, made of all different gems and crystals, that sparkle in the light. A beautiful landscape, and...fresh air! I do a little twirl but then I stop. I turn to Fitz.

"Is this heaven? And if so, did I die? Or, better question, how did I die?" Fitz shakes his head and chuckles. "No, this isn't heaven, and no, you didn't die." I look at him, confused. "So...if this isn't heaven, then where is this? You lifted up your wand, and suddenly, we're here. Wait- did you magic us here?!?!" Fitz laughs.

"No. 'Magic' is the word humans use to describe things that they can't understand. Also, my, 'wand' was actually a pathfinder. And, this place," he gestures around us, "is your new home." I froze. "What?" Fitz says words, but I don't understand them. The only reason I know that he is talking is because his lips are moving and strange noises are coming from his mouth.

This is my new home? What about my old home? With mum, dad, my besties, Liza and Emily. What's gonna happen to them? Will I ever see them again? My mind was running a thousand times a second. Those kind of thoughts were buzzing in my brain. It takes a while for my mind to slow down, and for me to ask the question I've been trying to solve.

"What about my family? And my friends?" Then, Fitz says something that makes my brain stop, my body freeze, and my mind echo. "They will think you are dead." They will think you are dead. They will think you are dead. They will think you are dead. They will think your are dead. And then, I fainted.
