building a house (part 14)

the next day they say and waved to each other casually. there friends still in the blue. but after school was when they would flirt and stare and blush. and denkis organs felt sick but that was besides the point.

J- what should we do today?

K- I'm not sure?

They were in denkis room this time. It was very messy and they were sitting on a pile of blankets on his bed.

j- hmmmmm.

She looked at his unused desk and then back at the bed.

K- what?

she stood and looked around the room.

J- omg denki. I have a idea. Hmmmm yea yea your room is perfect.

K-it's sort of a mess so probably not.

J- no dummy! the blankets and the desk and the bed!

K- what?

J- we....

She stepped closer to him smiling

J- could build a fort!

K- I love forts!

J-me to!

He stood and they were smiling excitedly.

j- work on the bed side and I work desk half?

K- ok.

They locked eyes and were inches apart. Denkis stomach ached.

J- you ok you look a bit pale.

She cupped his face. He backed away nervously.

K- I'm ok.

He quickly started working on his half as jirou did the same while feeling disappointed but understanding. After 30 of working in silence denki spoke up.

K- s-sorry I.....panicked.

J- it's ok...I understand.

They smiled warmly at each other. After another 10 or so minutes the fort was done.they look across the room seeming proud with the fort. They looked at each other and high five's awkwardly.

J- kaminari?

K- yeah?

J- do...it's...it's ok....if you don't like me.....i just want you to know that.

She sighed.

K- jirou.....I'm sorry.....lately I've......it's hard to explain. I wish i could give you a yes or no answer.

J- is it me?

He cupped her face. His stomach turned.

K- oh jirou....no no not at all....your beautiful and so smart...

He caressed her face with his thumbs while she blushed.

K- and your so talented....you are going to be such a hero....and you have the most amazing smile.

He smiled softly and chuckled. She grabbed his shoulders.

K- us hanging out...is helping me....decide....i want to make sure we are both ready for this....to make this change.

Jirou nodded.

K- once I'm sure...I'll tell you jirou i promise.

He kissed her cheek making her turn red. they hugged tightly.

K- i know I'm probably being confusing sorry about that.

J- I'm patient.

They both chuckled and smiled. They backed away.

K- i sort of told kirishima that he could help me study after school tomorrow. but Mina planning something Friday. Like a class sleep over In the common area.

J- it's ok. We can hangout Friday then.

K- yeah! It would be really awesome.

J- well I mean I had two days of this. I'll miss you for the next two and a half.

K- don't worry I'll see you at school.
