Feeling of fun

They went to the park after a awkward breakfast. They walked up the hill and to the swing.

S- no kids to harass.

K- that's good.

S- why did you drag us out here so early in the morning.

K- look. This is the most beautiful part of the day.

Denki pointed to the horizon and smiled. The sun was just starting to rise and the sunrise was beautiful.

S- you like sunrises a lot don't you?

K- yeah I really do.

S-why?

K- it's stupid.

S- it's ok. A lot of things are stupid but that's just part of life I guess.

K- don't make fun of me?

S- of course not.

K- when I was little. I got bullied a lot. I loved the park and swings. But it was often crowded with other kids that would pick on me. So every morning before anyone else got there I would walk to the park. and then one morning I was swinging and the sun was rising. It was the most amazing thing of my life. Then I saw some kid being punched by a small group of other kids. I felt sympathy for the kid because I've been there before. So I ran and told them to stop. I got so mad when the refused I started to feel a sudden electricity
In me. I zapped the kids and they got scared. The other kid thanked me. The feeling I got from saving him. Was amazing. That was day I wanted to be a hero. It was also when I first got my quirk. I've seen sunrises as a sign of hope and Luck ever since then.

S- that's not stupid denki. That's really cool.

Denki blushed and looked down.

S- I  like sunsets.

K- can I ask why.

FLASHBACK

Mrs. Hitoshi- look baby! The sun is setting.

S- whoa! So pretty! Like you mommy!

Mrs.Hitoshi- awww your so sweet. Don't forget shinsou. Even if you have a rough day. The sun will always be here. And when it's sets when you can't see it. It's some where else. Saving others. Making the world bright.

S- sun hero?

Ms- exactly baby! you can be a hero like that. You can be like the sun.

S- hero? Ooooooo cool!

Ms- yes a great strong hero!

S- I wanna be like the sun! For you mommy!

Ms- I love you shinsou. My wonderful son.

S- why are you crying mommy? I thought daddy would be here! He promised.

Ms- he isn't coming. I'm sorry baby you deserve a better father.

S- love you mommy! We can do this! Like the sun! Together!

Ms- that's the spirit! Now let's go to bed. You have school tomorrow.

PRESENT:

S- my mom. She loved the sun. She saw it as some type of hero.

Shinsou smiled to his self.

K- a hero? I see it. Makes the world bright.

S- that's what my mom would say.

They locked eyes and smiled.

K- she sounds really cool.

S- she was more than cool. She was my whole life.

K- was?

S- she....it's...what about you?

K- me?

S- what's your parents like?

K- I've...we're not close anymore.

S- I see.

There was a pause then denkis face lit up.

K- it's time!

S- what?

K- prepare yourself for the most amazing experience!

S- what?

Shinsou read his mind.

S- denki i dont know how to swing.

K- crap!

Denki got up and started pushing shinsou. It wasn't really working out.

S- what are you doing?

K- lean back! Move your legs back and forth!

Shinsou did and soon he started to swing as denki helped.

K- your doing it! Omg your doing it shinsou!

Shinsou was! He was swinging and looking at the sunset. He swear he saw his mom in the horizon. He smiled and swung higher. He missed his mom so much. He felt like he was flying. Butterflies were in his stomach and he felt a warmth spread inside him that made him chuckle. Soon the sun was fully in the sky and shinsou was back on the floor.

K- how was it?

S- exhilarating.

K- you finally felt fun. You seem happier.

S- I feel happier. Thank you kamina- denki.

K- of course. It's what friends are for.

Shinsou looked more awake. Like he was a kid again. Denki was happy he could help.
