Are we more than friends?

Friends for now

It was seven and jirou was looking forward to this all day. She sat on the edge of her bed in a dark blue dress and black boots. Her leg bouncing her mind  reeling with the thought of denki at her door. She stoped once she realized her smile. She needs to slow down. She was excited. She's wasn't the type to go boy crazy. She wasn't the type to go crazy over anyone. She had realized that she actually was developing a crush for that dummy. Cute dummy. All her friends that knew were supportive and happy for their date. She wanted it to be a date. But did denki even like her? Did he want it to be a date? She didn't want to get hurt even if it was just denki.  There was a knock on the door. She answered and saw denki with a smile and flowers.

K- hi.

J- hi. Are these for me?

K- is it to much....i thought it was to much but I panicked and didn't know if I should get them. Then I didn't even know which ones to get because I didn't know what ones you like. And I never been on a date before.If it's stupid then I'll just-

J- it's ok.... There beautiful.

She took the flowers and put them in a empty vase.

J- you ready?

K- yeah! Sorry that was to loud.

She giggled and closed the door. They walked to a nearby arcade. On the way there denki was willing to at least try to make things awkward.

K- you um....look nice.....really nice.

He was absolutely winging this forgetting all of the things that Mina told him to do. Compliments where a nice start.

J- thanks...you to.

She felt her face get hot. The blond saw her blush and smiled. They soon arrived at the arcade. They were struck with lots of kids running around with bright colorful lights flashing all around.once they got there tokens wich denki paid for.

K- sooo what should we do first?

J- games? Oooooo look there's air hockey.

They both ran over and jirou put in the four coins needed.

K- I hope you don't plan on winning.

J- oh you think your winning lighting man?!

The game started with a round puck now on the table.

K- oh music chick has jokes? I'm rubbing off on you already huh.

J- haha in your dreams!

Denki stared smiling. He liked making people smile and jirous laugh was very pretty. He took the opportunity to hit the puck while she was distracted flailing to make it in. He heard more laughter from jirou.

J- you still failed! Hahahahahha!

K- haha!

Even if the words where mean he knew that jirou was different. She wouldn't judge him. Maybe this could work out.

J- hey! Snap out of it I'm winning a little to easy. Challenge me.

He got out of his thoughts and looked up and smiled.

K- you are so on!

They battled over the puck and hit it until jirou finally won by using her cords form her ears to tickle denki.

J- hah to easy.

K- no fair you cheated!

She walked over to him and smiled teasingly.

J- awww poor kaminari.

She pinched his cheek. They locked eyes jirous hand still on his face. The feeling of unease in his stomach grew stronger he still ignored it.

K-um.....

He looked over to his left forcefully. This left jirou confused and a bit upset.

K- oh look they have Mario cart!

He ran and sat down at the game. Jirou following. They where inches away from kissing. Why did denki stop the moment? Jirou was stuck in her head.

K- hey look who won now!

Jirou was starring at the blond the whole time she forgot to participate. Once the blonde noticed he looked in confusion.

K- jirou? You....ok there?

She smiled and nodded.

K- were out of tokens sadly. 20 coins goes by fast for the Both of us. Anyway....you hungry?

J- yeah.

K- I think I saw a hot dog stand earlier.

They both stood up and walked around to find the stand. Kaminari wanted to try to be semi romantic just to see how it was. He nervously grabbed jirous hand.jirou blushed and smiled.

J- let me pay for the food.

K- but...it's ok really!

J- please.....denki. It's the least I can do.

He was hesitant but agreed. They walked back to the dorms holding hands and eating. They soon arrived back. Denki walked jiro to her door.

K- I had a good time tonight.

J- yeah me to.

They awkwardly locked eyes. This was it denki was going to get a girlfriend. His whole life he prepared for this moment. And he was ready and got butterflies and his muscles tensed. Jirou leaned in and kissed him. It was slow and fast and sweet and they where holding hands.

J- um....I....oh geez are you going ok.

Denki had wide eyes. He quickly replaced his expression with a smile.

K- I'm.....can i have time....to see if I....want us to be together.

Jirou eyes filled with tears. But she wanted to hear him out before jumping to conclusions.

K- jirou....your really smart and nice and amazing. I just need time to really think if......I've never been in a relationship before.....I want to make sure this is right.

J- I u-understand.

He hugged her tightly.

K- this isn't me rejecting you. I promise.

Jirou was really relived to hear that.

He pulled away and smiled.

J- see you Monday?

K- can't wait.

With that they parted ways. Leaving them to ponder on different things.
