The next morning, Sunghoon awoke late and was about to hurriedly get out of bed, but then he noticed Haneul, peacefully sleeping on his chest. He looked down and couldn't help but admire her angelic features. He knew that this was probably the most rest she had gotten in the past week.
Deciding to let her continue to sleep, he gently stroked her hair, and she nuzzled closer to him, their faces now just inches apart. He looked down at her not being able to avoid the feeling he was getting in the pit of his stomach and the warmth that filled his chest. As he remained still he could feel their lips barley brush against each other. He tightly closed his eyes not wanting to move. He craved to feel her lips against his.
"good morning." He heard a light whisper as he opened his eyes.
He was met with haneul's sleepy hazel eyes. She rubbed her eyes snuggling back into his chest. 'does she know she's awake?' he thought to himself as his body stiffened under her slight embrace now that they were both awake. "can we eat breakfast? I want pancakes with choco milk." She mumbled into his chest.
Sunghoon cleared his through "I'm already late for work. I should get ready to leave." He stated looking away towards his door.
Haneul's eye shot open finally fully waking up and becoming conscious of the situation. she immediately got up making her way out of his bed her feet touching the cold floor "oh my god I'm sorry I-" She immediatly stopped, a look of horror coming across her face as she looked down. She was no longer wearing the pajama pants from the night before. Her face became hot as she pulled down the hem of Sunghoons shirt down. Sunghoon smirked at the site of her flustered face.
"Don't look!" She said wanting to become invisible. 'Of course this would happen to me' she thought to herself.
She ran out of his room as she made her way to her room locking the door. She mentally scolded herself as she got ready for the day. Both leaving the penthouse separately for the day.
Time Skip:
After a long day of classes Haneul was back in the pent house alone. She was sitting at the kitchen table when she heard the doorbell echo throughout the penthouse.
"Hmm? who could that be?" she asked herself as she made her way to the door. As she opened the door she was surprised to see Sunghoon's mom.
"Oh, hello Mrs.Park." She greeted bowing to her.
"Haneul I already told you it's mom now." His mom said greeting her warmly.
"Ah, yes I'm sorry. What brings you here mom?" Haneul asked awkwardly.
"I was in the area and thought I would stop by to drop these off." She said as she held up a basket of fruits. "Where is Sunghoon?" She asked as she made her way inside and to the kitchen.
"He's still at work. He will probably be there until late." Haneul informed her as she followed behind her.
"Oh dear he works awfully late. I've told him that it's not good for him but it's almost like he lives in that office." His mom began to say. "And with such a beautiful wife at home, what a shame. " She said causing Haneul to smile lightly thanking her for her compliment.
Sunghoon's mother looked at Haneul, her expression a mix of curiosity and concern. "Has Sunghoon mentioned anything about the trip we'll be going on?" she inquired.
Haneul, puzzled by the question, shook her head. "No, he hasn't mentioned it to me."
Sunghoon's mother's shock quickly gave way to annoyance. "That boy," she muttered under her breath. Then, addressing Haneul, she continued, "We'll be going on a trip with some of Park Corporation's work partners and employees, his father and I asked him to invite you."
Haneul's uncertainty grew as she contemplated Sunghoon's silence regarding the trip. "Maybe he doesn't want me to go," she suggested, her voice tinged with insecurity.
Sunghoon's mother, however, was quick to disagree. "Oh, don't be silly, dear. He's probably been busy and forgot to mention it. That's all." She offered a reassuring smile.
Haneul knew deep down that Sunghoon's silence was more than just forgetfulness, but she chose to agree with his mother, not wanting to create unnecessary tension.
Sunghoon's mother patted Haneul's hand and said with a kind tone, "Well, now that you know about it, I expect to see you there. It'll be a wonderful trip, and it will give you both a chance to spend time together. We'll be leaving in 2 days so be sure to pack in time sweetheart. "
Haneul nodded, as she said goodbye to her mother and law and rushing to her room to pack.
