Twenty-one

A couple of weeks passed by, and Haneul successfully passed all her exams, while Sunghoon was finally on track again at work. Their daily routines remained fairly the same, but there was a significant change in their relationship. They had started taking the weekend to go out and do things as regular couples would, deepening their connection. In this time, Sunghoon realized how much he had learned about her during the months they had already been married. He knew about her interests, favorite things, and pet peeves, continuously discovering new aspects of her day by day.

This knowledge only made him become more and more attracted to her, as his feelings for her continued to grow.

Their nightly routine consisted of Haneul waiting for Sunghoon to get home from his late night at the office so they could have dinner together, now that her semester of school was over. 

Sex had also become more regular for them on day's when they found themselves stressed out about something. Sunghoon had learned that rough sex was one of her two kinks, the other being that she enjoyed Sunghoon degrading her during their rough sex. Sunghoon had also discovered a kink of his own and it was Haneul's foul mouth, she would talk dirty to him using words that would turn him on in a blink of an eye and she knew.

They had both become addicted to each other. Sunghoon would find himself randomly thinking of her through out the day while at work and couldn't deny the happiness she brought him.

Present time:

On the eve of their 6-month anniversary, Haneul busied herself in the kitchen, preparing a small cake to surprise Sunghoon that Friday night. She was excited about the surprise she had planned for him, anticipating his reaction when he walked in.

As the evening arrived, Sunghoon, unknowing of Haneul's plans, was preparing to go to bed. The anticipation of the surprise lingered in the air as Haneul walked into the room, holding the small cake in her hands. A bright smile adorned her face as she approached Sunghoon.

"Happy 6 months, bebe," she said sweetly, her eyes gleaming with affection. She gave him a tender kiss on his lips, and Sunghoon chuckled at her adorable gesture.

"You made this just for me?" He asked as kissed her forehead.

"Yeah it's your favorite, red velvet." She said.

"When did I say that was my favorite?" He teased.

"You did say it, at the coffee shop last week remember?" She said her smile lightly faltering.

"I'm kidding, thank you baby." He said taking the cake in one of his hands and giving her a hug with his other. "I have a surprise planned for us tomorrow don't think I'm leaving you empty handed." He said kissing the top of her head.

"A surprise? What is is?!" She beamed as she looked up at him.

"It's a surprise. Now, I'm gonna take this down stairs because it's already too late to have sweets. We can enjoy this tomorrow." He said as he walked past her and out of the room.

He quickly made his way back to his room to find Haneul scrolling on her phone already in bed. He joined her under the cover pulling her close as they watched funny video's on her phone. Eventually a cute cat video came up on her feed as she replayed it over and over giggling at the cute cats funny gestures.

"Do you like baby cat's?" She giggled looking up at him "Like this one?" She added.

"Not really, they're a little needy and can become quite burdensome. What about you?" He asked.

"Hmm, I do. They're so cute especially when they're little baby's." She said "We should get one, it can be like our little baby before we have actual babies." She said not catching her words. Her cheeks flushed as she realized what she had said.

"S-sorry, I meant since we don't have kid's you k-know?" She stammered as she looked back down at her phone. Their was an awkward silence before Sunghoon spoke.

"Do you want to have kids Haneul?" Sunghoon asked his voice genuine. Haneul a little shocked by the question began to think 'do i want kids?'

"I actually don't know. I mean I think we're too young now. I'm not sure I'd be a good mom if I had babies right now. I didn't have a mom growing up, so I don't think I'd be a good mom at all," she said the last part more to herself. "Plus, I want to enjoy you all to myself for now. I feel like we're just now experiencing our honey moon stage after what? six months of being married?" She said letting out a tired laugh. "We're half way to a year, time has gone by really fast huh?" She asked.

"I think you would be a great mom." He reassured her as he became lost in thought. She was right they were half way to a year which meant his contract was coming to a close in 6 months. He still had not figured out how to get out of the mess he had created nor how he would tell Haneul about it all when the year mark approached. It had been what was worrying him since the last time he spoke with Mr.Kim and found that there really would be no easy way out of it.

"Sunghoon?" Haneul said snapping him back out of his thoughts. "are you okay?" She asked a slight hint of worry washing over her face.

"Y-yeah, I was just thinking of how many mini us we could have running around here." He lied.

"I think we should wait until we at least hit 3 years. I want to enjoy us being like this for as long as possible." she said snuggling into him.

"Me too." He whispered.

The rest of the night they lay in bed watching more funny videos before Haneul's soft snores could be heard and Sunghoon felt her body relax as she fell into a deep slumber. Eventually he shut off her phone placing it on the night stand before fall asleep next to her as well.
