Nine

"I can't believe you lied to me just to get me to leave with you! I was in the middle of having a conversation with Jake and you ruined it!" Haneul exclaimed as she made her way into the pent house removing her heels.

"And you even ate his half of the biscuit that we were sharing!" Haneul kept on rambling about how rude Sunghoon was to her and Jake only agitating him more. He closed his eyes taking a deep breath pinching the bridge of his nose as Haneul only kept going on about her and Jake.

"CAN YOU STOP TALKING ABOUT HIM!" He finally snapped causing Haneul to flinch and go silent shocked at the sudden outburst. "Do you like him?" He suddenly asked

Haneul scrunched her eyebrows in confusion "Why do you care? What's it to you if I like him? You said it yourself that we don't have to be loyal to each other, " she said as she felt anger begin to build up inside her as well. "and you have no right to be upset about it if I do like him. You have a GIRLFRIEND remember?!" She said annoyance only bubbling inside of her at the thought of him and So-he making out in the garden came to her mind. "Why don't you worry about her huh? why don't you go and make out with her in the garden again?" She huffed as she started crossed her arms facing him. "Jake thinks I'm prettier than her anyways..." She murmured out with a pout.

Sunghoon couldn't help but smirk at the jealously that was laced in her voice and the adorable sight of her sulking in front of him. " Are you jealous princess?" he asked approaching her. Haneuls face flushed at the sound of the nickname he had just called her but she tried her best to seem unaffected.

"You wish." She said looking at him.

"Do you want me to do to you what I do to her?" He leaned down to whisper against the side of her neck as he was now standing right in front of her. Haneul could feel her heart beating faster and her stomach filling with butterflies at his sudden proposition.  

"No." She tried to remain as composed as possible as she pushed him back and made her way to the stair case going up them quickly. She heard his footsteps right behind her.

" I don't want you to keep hanging out with him." He said nonchalanty as he turned to open his bedroom door.

"I don't have to listen to you." She said sternly.

"But you owe me remember?" He said turning around his back leaning against his bedroom door smirking down at her. "You said you'd do anything if I agreed to go to the stupid event. Or did you already forget?" He teased crossing his arms.

"No, but I'll do anything other than that." She said challenging him.

He scrunched his eyebrows "Why is it that you only rebel against me princess?" He asked a trace of annoyance evident in his voice.

"That's not true." Haneul attempted to defend but a part of her knew it was somewhat true. She knew that if it was her dad telling her to stay away from Jake she would obey in order to keep the peace.

"You can be a push over with everyone else but you only go against me?"He said stepping closer his words stinging. "Fine, if you don't want to stay away from him then I guess I'll have to find another way for you to repay me." He continued in a cold tone. "Maybe I can just get your dad to make you do whatever I want. Since you seem to listen pretty well to him. I'm sure if he asked you to lick the bottom of my shoe you'd do it. Right Haneul?" He continued. "You wouldn't go against father's orders right? you would much rather lose your dignity than go against his orders right?" He said causing Haneul to finally snap.

"Yah! What are you saying?! What's wrong with you?" She said pushing him harshly against his chest.

"You know what I'm saying. It's pathetic really, that night at the garden you were crying because of our engagement right? Yet you had the chance to say you didn't want to do this either but you didn't. You know what those people call you Haneul? The ones at that suffocating event? " He asked genuinely curious to see if she knew. "Pretty, push over Haneul. The soon to be doormat of the Kim enterprise." He said harshly, slight tears brimming in her eyes. "I can't believe I'm stuck pretending to be happy with someone like you."
