Damn it, why me? I finally finished the bedrooms before heading towards the library. There he was...sitting...watching me with a smile. I made my way behind the bookshelves mumbling to myself "what a creep". I moved a few books to reveal a small bag. There was all to kill a vampire with, a wooden stake, holy water, garlic and a cross. Thank you, Bram Stoker. It didn't take long for that thing to make the first move. If he is really a creature of the night, then all this stuff should affect him. I could hear him moving closer...slowly...till he stays on the other side putting the book back. I could watch him through the shelves...now is my chance. I threw the garlic towards him...moved away and waited for the terrible scream to shake the estate.
Silence.
I looked through the shelves, he was shaking. Did it work? Suddenly a terrifying laugh echoes through the entire room. A chill went down my spine as he died down and spoke in his deep voice "oh dearest, you clearly have a sense of humour...how wonderful" It didn't work, how embarrassing. But garlic alone isn't enough. I guess his clothes protected him. Let's try something else...
I crouched down and crawled towards the corner of the bookshelf. I opened the vial and spilled the holy water onto his shoes. It would have been better if he wasn't looking down at me, while Walter entered the room. "What is going on here? Miss (N/A), I can't recall that we hired you as a shoe cleaner" I turned ten shades of red...could it get any worse? "I-I-It was an accident...I spilled some water on his shoes while cleaning the shelves "I said while making his shoe clean. He smiled more "with holy water?" Does he have to say that? "Ehhhh...the best water to clean shelves with" Walter didn't look very convinced. And here I thought I get away with it, as the son-of-a-biscuit handed me something round and smelly "and garlic?" "To shove it down your throat" I thought to myself. "Ehhh...well...its...good for disinfection" Walter raised an eyebrow while a certain someone chuckled at my poor excuses. "I have seen enough, finish your work... I will see you at the office in an hour" "Yes Sir" With that he closed the door, leaving me with that creature alone. But as I looked to my side he...was gone, even though I could still hear him chuckle. I will get him next time... this isn't over yet...
