11. Preparing for tonight

„N/A!!!!!!" stormed Alice into our room, seeing Valeria hugging me tight around my waist, her head on chest „Ahem...should I come back later?" I looked at her annoyed "Drop it Alice...it's six in the morning." Without any permission she jumped onto the bed, handing me the newspaper "I think it's worth waking you, check the front page." "The front page?" I yawned, rubbing my eyes before reading out the words before me "Three bodies found in pool... so what?" I throw the papers back to Alice groaning "What's so special about that?"

Alice looked down at Valeria, before whispering to me "It was the same pool we went to, apparently, they were found outside floating in the water...near the room Valeria went in." Now, I was wide awake "Are you suggesting that Valeria killed them?" we both looked at the hugging thing on me, snoring lightly, I looked up at Alice in disbelieve "Don't be ridiculous. How can a little girl like her, deal with three grown up guys? They would be a lot stronger than her." Alice hesitated, before agreeing to me "I hope your right, I can't help it..." she said the last word very quiet "...Valeria is giving me the creeps." She left the room to tell the others about it.

I wasn't sure of what to think of Alice words, it was me who hated Valeria first and now... I defend her? What the hell is going on with me? A movement got me out of my thoughts, looking down I see her rubbing her eyes, before giving me a tired smile. I smiled back "And a good morning to you to Vale... are those my clothes?" She looked down at her, only to nod back at me "Okay, first we got shopping. I am sick and tired of you wearing my clothes." I didn't think she understood, as she got from the bed, undressed herself while heading to my wardrobe. She picked out the things I had planned to wear today...she really knew how to piss someone off.

Wearing something else, I went over to see Alice gossiping about the same news, hours later. "Ah, N/A come here...tell them we were there" showing me the paper, again. "Yes we were" I said, rolling my eyes "Alice, when is the sleepover?" "Tonight, don't forget it's you and Valeria, since you are..." "Only the 'come along', I get it." With a frown I went back to my room, the sight, seeing her using my hair brush...gave me the rest. "Get your hand off my hairbrush and those clothes..."I while talking to Valeria, I walked into the bathroom "...your clothes, are washed and you can wear them..." the clothes...are gone "...now? Valeria! Where are your clothes?" She only lifted her shoulders innocent. I was too angry to fight it out now "FINE! Keep them on, let's go already!" Valeria jumped up, like a little school girl and grabbed my arm, pulling me outside. This is going to be a long day.

It was a sunny day, perfect for a walk in the park. Valeria wasn't too happy though; she hated my plan and tried to drag me towards shady places. I was surprised at her actions and asked her concerned "Don't you like the sun?" she shook her head violently "Here, come this way." It took me a while to move her to the nearest store, there; I bought her glasses and a nice hat.

But still, she refused the sun light as much as possible, pushing me along. Inside the clothing store she went straight to the men department. She picked out almost the same clothes that went missing, for an hour I tried to convince her to get a suit for women upstairs... she was as stubborn like a little kid. She didn't even stop there, while I waited outside the changing rooms, she came out in her underwear...yep she even needed her own underwear. We received weird looks from the other customers; it was embarrassing "Get back in there!" I yelled, shoving her inside, facing the others "Sorry about that...she isn't from around here." Whatever I gave her, she tossed it back at me. Because of her ways to open the curtains while half dressed, I had to get rid of lusty teenage boys watching her.

At the end she only picked out one piece, it was a white suit, just like the one she had before. Unfortunately she refused to wear anything else and the suit was expensive. "I think I need to talk to her parents about getting my money back" I mumbled to myself, giving my card over to pay Valeria's stuff. "N/A?" I looked up at the shop assistant "Hey Jason, long time no see. Since when do you work here?" He informed me that it's his part time job and all sorts of things...he even was invited to the sleep over, although it was supposed to be girls only. He means it's an exception because of Valeria. During out conversation, I didn't see her sneak off. All off a sudden the alarm went on "What is going on?" I said surprised. "I don't know, I see you later N/A" he respond going to the back. Valeria, back on my side, pulled me out of the shop, smiling evil.

The day only started and a grinning something was happy walking beside me, while I frowned like the world is going down. Suddenly I feel a finger tapping on my shoulder; Valeria gives me a piece of paper "What's this? Ah, right... I wanted to make something nice for dinner, how about it Valeria...a nice juicy stake?" She only gave me a head turn to the side, did she even understand? "Never mind, the store is right there" pointing towards the store, presenting all sorts of meat.

"Hello ladies, what can I get you?" greeted the man behind the counter. "Hello, I like four stakes, please" I replied, watching Valeria looking around. "Hey there! I got the pigs blood you ordered" said someone from behind. He placed it near the counter, got his signature and left the place fast. Valeria tapped my shoulder again, making a weird dance before me. "You need the toilet?" she nodded; I looked at the man at the counter "through that door on the left." While Valeria was gone, the man tried to persuade me to buy a few other pieces he had in store, I refused though. Once she was back, we left quick, waving the man good bye. Outside I could see her face better and had to admit out loud "You seem to have a little color on your cheeks, you also look a lot better now" she respond with a bone crushing hug "I can't breathe."

On our way home, I made the stakes and mashed potatoes, with peas and carrots. However, once done, Valeria shoved it towards me refusing a single bite "What's wrong about it? You didn't seem to be offended when I bought them...and you haven't eaten all day." She glared at me "Don't give me that, at least try one bite" raising a fork with a bit on it, she opened her mouth and took it...only to choke. "Oh god, Valeria!" I hit her back and she spat out the bit out "Okay, you tried it... let me finish mine, then we go to the sleep over."

While I did so, she placed her elbows on the table, leaning her head onto her hand and watched me eating. It was creepy!

For the night, we were wearing our PJ's; to my disappointment she had used one of mine. Before another argument erupted, a knock interrupted us. "The door is open!" I said out loud, Alice stood there in a blue PJ "Are you two ready?" "Yep, let's go. Come Valeria" I reached her my hand for her to take, she did without hesitation. Alice took my other arm and whispered into my ear "Did you hear? Jason is coming to our sleep over and who knows...you might have a change to get near him." She knows that I have a crush on him for a long time; I am just too shy to tell him. Through our talk I haven't noticed the tight grip Valeria had on my hand. Her face changed, her smirk went to a frown and her round eyes glared in a glowing red, she didn't like what she just heard.
