I could hardly sleep, as my mind was already planning ahead. Of all the things we could do, could see and so much more. To wait till its noon was agonizing; to kill the time I did some drawings and read a book.

Time didn't fly as I expected, even a snail was faster than that.

Meanwhile the exchange students arrived from the airport and by bus; they were just as excited to arrive as we are. My 'new' friend was sitting inside the bus. She has long silky black hair a fringe and in a white suit business suit. A lot of other students find her creepy, as she constantly wears a wicked smile and seems to observe the others with her very dark brown eyes. She was picked up from the road, as the letter she had with her, it informed the driver of her situation to stand there. Apparently she took the wrong bus that's why she stood there in her white coat, scarf and woolly hat.

At the school we all stood outside and waited for the bus to arrive. Our teachers had to calm ourselves as the vehicle drove up the street, straight towards us.

All the exchange students were paired up in groups and were send to the right classes, to our disappointment. In class, we had to sit down; while our teacher called up the names and the country they come from. As we were 25 students it would take some time, till it's my turn. Well all inspected one another with interest, but there was one that really stands out...the girl in white. She looks like she came from somewhere cold, even her suit looks right out of place as the other were casual clothes. Lost in thoughts I didn't hear my name been called out.

"Miss N/A! Dreaming again I see!"

Wonderful! My new friend has to witness my humiliation from the class, as they all laughed at me.

"That's enough!! Let's see Miss N/A your exchange student will be the lady on my right, Miss Valeria Fairbrook from Romania.

She pointed at the girl in white as her dark eyes and smile were directed right towards me, till I realized something important "Romania?"

"Yes Romania, you wrote it on to the flyer. She is also the one who cannot speak, be nice to her."

"I wrote America! There must be some kind of mistake"

The glare of my teacher made it clear...there wasn't a mistake. The girl however seemed to ...enjoy this situation as her smile widened. Oh boy, a month with a mute girl, who already give me the creeps and I didn't want in the first place, what have I done to deserve this?

Through the hours there were more than one complain about the students, which made me fell a lot better, considering my roommate cannot talk .

Today wasn't any lessons planned, so we were allowed to leave afterwards. The girl, Valeria, came towards me; have me a big hug before grabbing my hand to drag me out the building. The place I live is the campus, near the school. There I had a nice room with a wonderful view towards the pond in front of the house. I pushed the girl into the room before pointing towards her new bed, a mattress on the floor. Her face was clear...she didn't like it; instead, she looked at my bed. "Oh no, this is MY bed. Ehhh, where's your luggage?" She only shrugged "Okay wait here I see were its gone." As I was about to leave the room, she jumped on to my bed cuddling into my pillow "Hey! Don't get any ideas! You sleep down there."

Not only 30 minutes and she already gets on my nerves. No matter where I looked, I couldn't find her luggage. I decided to return to the room as a crowd of people were surrounding the pond.

One of my so-called-friend was there too "Alice, what happened?" "No one knows, it was in the pond all of a sudden" I took a look....a mattress was in it and I knew very well where it came from. I ran up to my room, slammed the door open. There was Valeria, wearing MY clothes, I was beyond anger. I was furious, but before I could get my hand around her neck, my teacher approached me. She gave me an ear full, as she assumed it was me with the mattress incident. I tried to reason her "But I was out looking for Valeria's luggage, she was all alone." "No one saw her outside and to throw out such a large thing out the window that far is impossible" She gave me a warning before leaving.

As I turned my view to my room, stood Valeria in MY Pyjama and made a gesture for me to come to her. Inside I saw her crawl under MY bed sheet and patted the side next to her, with a smile. "Okay, just for tonight, we get you a mattress in the morning" still annoyed I joined her. I turned myself to the side with my back towards her; the last thing I wanted is to see that insane grin of her. Should her face hurt after all this smiling? Who knows?

I closed my eyes...till...an arm wrapped around me. She pushed herself against my back cuddling me from behind. I was about to protest as I see her sleeping form. "...damn it..."

I decided to let it be till morning. I'm sure it will be better tomorrow.
