"𝐒í"

It wasn't long before we started packing, I knelt down to the floor and began to put my few clothes and accessories into my suitcase while listening to the Spanish chatter take place from downstairs. I could hear my name a few times, mainly from Felicia and Fransisco. It left an uncomfortable feeling in me, knowing I'm marrying into a Spanish family without knowing the language. Fransisco might have been a careless, cold "drug king in line", but I couldn't help but feel a little bit of comfort when he would defend me.
I continued to sit on the floor and pack, when there was a knock, revealing Alexander. I slowly stood up, and and turned to face him.
"Austria's nice" Alexander said, quietly.
"But?" I questioned knowingly, with a smile.
Alexander lowly chuckled and looked down to the floor with his hands in his pockets.
"But isn't the entire world better?" He asked with a faint Spanish accent, as he looked back up at me.
"It is, and I wouldn't want anything more. But we don't have time" I gave a sad smile.
"A man should always have time for his girl" Alexander shrugged.
I shook my head.
"Not a marriage of love for him to gift me with his time" I stated, as I continued folding clothes.
Alexander leaned on the door frame, and lit a cigarette.
"¿Que es el amor?" He said, as he took a smoke.
I suddenly felt my heard drop a little, I lived in Spain yet I had little to no understanding of Spanish.
"Translate for me" I said, quietly.
Alexander yet again looked down with a single hand in his pocket and a cigarette in his other hand, as he continued to have that same, short and deep chuckle.
He simply shook his head.
"Fine then" I stated, as I suddenly used a bit more force as I threw my belongings into my luggage.
"Why don't you learn Spanish?" Alexander questioned, as he smiled and continued to smoke.
I simply shrugged before responding.
"My father says it's pointless for me to learn, that I wouldn't have to work in Spain and speak Spanish if I stayed with Fransisco and did as I was told" I explained, sadly.
"Why don't I teach you?" Alexander questioned, with a smile.
I paused, and and looked at Alexander  with seriousness.
"You?" I questioned, surprised.
"Yes. I am Spanish, I speak Spanish and I can speak English properly to teach you" he said with a grin.
"Do you have a qualification in teaching"? I asked jokingly.
I folded my arms and waited for a response.
"No, but I could easily fraud it" he replied with a smile.
I failed to suppress a small smile.
"So, Marina Leonora Astor. Will you let me teach you?" He phrased as a proposal.
"What do you want for payment?" I questioned as I locked eyes with him, brown met green.
"I'll think of it as I teach you" he said, as he lit out his cigarette.
"Fine, teach me".
"Magic word, Leonora?"
"No one calls me my middle name".
"I do, now".
"Please".
"Please what?"
I groaned and muttered,
"Please teach me Spanish".
Alexander chuckled and shook his head.
"Más alto".
"What?" I questioned in confusion.
"Louder" he smiled.
I rolled my eyes and took a deep breath.
"Alexander Mateo Rivera, will you please teach me Spanish?" I asked with sarcasm.
"Sí".
