The Chinese food had been completely eaten up,
Julie and Flynn getting into an argument over the last egg roll,
Flynn's odd assortment of songs humming from one of the speaker after
being made to turn it down as the night went on
and half a shoulder of vodka that Jessie had stashed in her school bag from the night
before had left the three girls lounged around,
Flynn and Julie on the beanbag and Jessie lying of the couch with her legs over the back of it,
more than a bit tipsy.
The boys sat against a pile of pillows and blankets across from the beanbag on the other side of the couch.
Luke who sat closest to Jessie was chewing on his bottom lip trying his hardest not to look at how the way she was sitting had her slightly damp hair which was finally down
spreading over his couch and her shoulders
or how his tank was pooled around her mid-drift.
He was definitely trying to not stare at the top of a tattoo now visible, the rest of it hidden by the waist band of her briefs,
mainly because in her tipsy stupor Julie had almost ousted them to give out to him for staring.
But he couldn't help it, chewing harder on his lip as he tried to figure out what it was, only being able to see less then half of it and it being upside down.
It kind of looked like the top of half a butterfly and somthing spikey, like a hedgehog curled up but with wider spikes
Reggie was also having an issue of staring at her legs as she softly kicked an ornament hanging from one of the shelves above the couch.
Alex had gotten over the shock of seeing her like that pretty quickly, realising how comfortable she was while sober to go around like that.
"You guys are lucky we don't have blood any more" Alex comments, barely getting the boys attention
"Why" Reggie asks, his eyes not leaving the girls leg
"Because it would all be circulating to the wrong place for the two of you right about now" He jokes and Julie lets out a loud laugh
"Ohhh someone's drunk" Jessie teases in a singsong voice
"Am not"
"What are you laughing at then" Flynn pokes her in the side
"Uhh" Julie stammers, not sure what to say, "Ghosts?"
Flynn and Jessie look at each other and burst out laughing
"Okay Jules, it's your turn"
"What? Oh, right uh Jessie Truth or dare?"
They had been playing Truth or dare for the last 20 minutes but being drunk no one wanted to get up, so only truth had been chosen
"Fuck it, Dare" She says, turning to sit up
This got the boys' attention.
As fun as it was to hear about Julies crush on Nick,
Flynn's most embarrassing memory and a bunch of questions about Jessie's friend Ronnie,
most of which she drank for instead, well fun for Luke and Reggie.
Alex felt a bit uncomfortable hearing their secrets without them knowing but stayed anyway
when he couldn't convince the boys to leave with him.
The boys were much more interested after 20 minutes of secrets and stories in seeing some dares, especially from Jessie, who they knew so little about.
"OH, I know" Flynn shouts and leans over to whisper in Julies ear
She fails at whispering, but Jessie dosn't hear her anyway
"Ohh yes that's good" Julie nods her head agreeing with Flynn's suggestion
"Jessie I dare you to sing us the song you wrote about your last ex-boyfriend,
what was his name again?"
Jessie lets out a loud groan and throws her head back "Guys come on you know I only sing for class"
"You also don't back out of a dare, Jessie, so what's it going to be?"
Jessie lets out a long sigh and stands up, adjusting her top
"Fine, you're lucky I have the backing recorded for class yesterday, give me a second"
The girls nod,
excited to finally hear the song they knew she had been working on for the last several weeks.
They had been hoping to hear it in class the previous day and
were disappointed when it didn't happen.
"She sings?" Reggie asks at the same time Luke shouts out "SHE WRITES!"
"Clearly" Alex laughs
Jessie's sets up her mic and her backing and hits play.
The guys lean forward, Luke practically falling forward with how far he's leaning towards her,
as she begins to sing.

"I met a guy in the summer and I left him in the spring
He argued with me about everything
He had an ego and a temper and a wandering eye"
