NICO AND NELSON currently stood by the sidelines, there was a small break between games one and two so the duo decided to interact with some fans to pass time
as nelson took a picture with a fan, a boy around nicos age came up to her.
"hey, i've seen you on cam's channel. you're really pretty" the boy complimented
nico smiled politely at the boy, "hi! thank you that means a lot" she responded
he held his hand out, "im asher, by the way" asher introduced himself nervously
the blonde shook the boys hand, "nice to meet you, asher. im nico"
nelson watched from behind nico, still pretending to listen to a fan he'd been talking to. his eyes were basically burning holes through asher.
asher smiled at nico, not noticing nelson. "i was wondering if i could get your snap? that way we can keep in touch when you leave dallas." he asked, waiting to grab his phone incase of rejection
"um-" nico started, that was when nelson intervened, quickly walking over and wrapping an arm around the girls waist protectively.
nico blushed at nelsons hand placement. "who's this, angel?" nelson questioned, making sure to enunciate the nickname
"nelson, this is asher. asher, nelson." she pointed back and forth, quickly introducing the two boys
nelson sent him a knowing smile, "so ashton, what are you talking to nico about?" he squeezed her waist softly
the girl didn't know if it was humanly possibly to be as red as she was.
"its asher. and im just trying to get her snap man, so, nico what do you say, can i get it?" asher pressed, now grabbing his phone from his pocket
nico paused, thinking of the best way to say no without seeming like an asshole. luckily, nelson spoke instead.
"how about you get my snap instead? i like to think im funnier than nico" nelson joked, placing a hand on his chest
asher faked a laugh, rubbing the back of his neck. "uh- i didnt really want her snap because shes funny" asher admitted
nico raised her eyebrows, feeling how tense nelson got. nelsons tongue poked the inside of his cheek before he continued,
"so why'd you want her snap man?" nelson pushed, waiting for asher to admit his real reasoning to them
the random boy laughed awkwardly, "um, nevermind man." he turned slowly before walking back to his friends, who had been recording the whole situation
