TODAY WAS THE day, the fourth of july party nico had been waiting for. sure it seemed stupid, so excited over a small party, but it was different.
this was an annual saint family tradition, but now nico had friends to spend it with, she had nelson. the only difference was not all of nicos family was there, a few of her aunts and uncles would be
nico currently sat in her room at her vanity, doing her makeup. nelson was also in her room, sitting on her bed admiring her as she applied waterproof mascara
"you're so pretty, ma" nelson complimented, completely lost in her features
nico smiled as she put eyeliner on her waterline, "thank you handsome" she replied, starting to add some lip liner & gloss
the boy just smiled softly at his future girlfriend as she spoke once again, "you ready to meet some of my family?" she questioned
nelsons eye widened, he didnt think of that. "umm sure?" he spoke unsurely
the blonde giggled, noticing his nervousness from a mile away. "you'll be fine nels, its just like a few of my aunts and uncle. most of my familys in georgia"
nelson nodded, "okay, im good with aunts and uncles" he mainly reassured himself
she turned around in her vanity chair to face nelson who was now staring into space
nico grabbed his face, "look at me," his eyes found hers, "you'll be okay. my family isnt overly pushy but if they get like that we'll walk away. now cmon i wanna go in the pool! nikki & mal are on their way"
the two stood up, leaving nicos room and heading down the steps. "so are will and nikki dating?" he asked, nico shrugged
"see i think so, but not officially you know? kinda like us" she laughed at her comparison, nelson laughing softly aswell
little did she know...
the couple walked through the back door leading to nicos deck, which was huge.
claire smiled at the pair, "hey you two! thought you guys were never leaving your room" claire joked, the two laughing to make her happy
niles spoke up, "they were probably making ou-" nelson rushed over, covering niles mouth
he whispered something to niles whos mouth made an 'o' shape before laughing to himself
