I looked through the crowd of reporters and caught a glimpse of Max Verstappen before I could get to him. The reporters surrounded me, like I was someone famous. 'Miss! Please tell us about your recent project.' One of them said pushing a microphone in front of my mouth. I tried to ignore it, I didn't had anything to say about it. 'Are you going to do the same at formula 1?' A woman asked now pushing her microphone underneath my nose. 'Please, guys I'd love to answer y'all. But I'm incredibly busy.' I assured them.
'Alice?' Max asked as he approached the crowd. He snatched towards my hand and pulled me away from the crowd and into the RedBull hospitality. I took a deep breath out of relief. 'You saved me.' I laughed. He sat me down onto a chair. 'Need something to drink?' He asked me. He then motioned at someone who stood at the kitchen. 'Just some sparkling water.'
When I received my water I took a sip, 'I thought you wouldn't come,' Max stated. 'I wasn't planning to.' I replied to him. 'Are you mad at Lando?' He asked me. 'I've never been mad at him.' I confessed. 'Why?'
'It's been almost half a year.' Max added.
'I was afraid, Max. And I knew Lando would search someone who wasn't.' I explained.
Max gave me a slight nod and remained silent. The rest of the day I stayed at the paddock club. A drone hoovered above me and I took a sip from my champagne. The race ended with Max and Lando both fighting for first but there was only one who could win and that was Max. He managed to keep his car in front as he crossed the line and the Dutchies started partying like crazy. At the podium celebrations I could see how angry Lando was. When the press wanted to ask him about his race he turned his head away and walked off.I decided it was time to go so I could attend the party at the club. I crossed the street and returned to my car. I had turned on the engine without looking I almost ran someone over.
Lando's POV
I had left the interviews quickly and made my way back to the car. I was pissed off, I was so close to getting a win. But thanks to myself I lost. I wanted to scream, but I needed some distraction. I texted a friend who lived in Amsterdam who knew the best spot to go to clubs or to have pleasure. I needed it, and my friend suggested to go to the red district together. While I was deep in my thoughts I almost got rear ended by a sportscar. I shouted angrily at the driver who drove away quickly. So I thought.
