Lost love

chapter 4

we arrived home i could see rose's face covered in sympathy something i have seen a lot of in the last few hours  it was getting on my nerves now 

"i'll be five minutes" i turned to face rose who gave me a slight nod

a sigh of relief left my body not wanting anyone to see the dump i called home not realizing my hand was shaking (i guess my med's have worn off) i turned the handle to be met with the overpowering stench of alcohol and weed.

i'm glad in hopefully his last moments before he got kidnapped he was doing the thing he loved most

i am so happy i'm out of here 

slowly walking through the hallway leading to my bedroom taking it in one last time as much as i hated this house for what was going on inside it. it still carried the best memories of me and my mum 

i made it to my destination grabbing a duffel bag from my wardrobe i put in most clothes i owned remembering to pack my two pill boxes and my framed picture of me and my mum a few years before she died one of the last pictures i had of her Cole  went stir crazy when mum died tearing everything that reminded him of her.

 that day came with some bruised ribs because of it 

putting the last thing in my bag something clicked i was never coming back i was moving to america to live with six brothers i never knew existed 

oh my god this is actually real

i  thought i would have  woken up from this dream right now buts its real life 

holy fuck

my chest started falling and rising as fast as light i clawed my throat struggling to breathe my legs gave out sliding down the closet wall to me my whole body started trembling then remembering rose  is outside she could come in any minute i couldn't calm myself down it felt like i was dying 

practically crawling to the bathroom i turned on the cold water tap and splashed the cold  water on my face thanking god it was helping my breathing slowed down but my hands were still shaking .

after 2 minutes of laying on the bathroom floor i decided it was time to go

one last look at my house i hopped in the back seat of the police car rose scanning my face checking if i was OK giving her a subtle nod and  the car started moving 

to the airport we go 

giving a middle finger to the house as it faded in the distance 

"you should get some sleep sweetie its a long drive to the airport"

didn't need to tell me twice my eyes started drifting off my necklace helping me praying i dont have a nightmare

i woke up to the gentle tapping on my shoulder shooting right up when i noticed leaving rose a bit shocked

"sorry for waking you sweets but we are here"

"its ok" i mumbeled giving her a slight smile 

i grabbed my  bag and walked into the busy filled airport i buried my hand in my pocket when it started shaking 

rose helped me check in and helped with security we were at the boarding gate when they finnaly called my flight number TOM365 london to new york 

"well this is it thank you rose" i said to rose who surprisingly embraced me in a bear hug 

"i wish all the best for you carmella don't hesitate to call me if anything is wrong" she stated handing me a piece of paper with her phone number i'm not sure police are allowed to give personal info like that out apart from their name so i'm guessing she must of taken a liking to me either way i took it and surprising myself giving her another hug as i went to go board my flight giving her a little wave as i walked off

and guess to my surprise i had a fucking first class ticket living the life baby i thought to myself

i settled into my seat feeling rich as fuck as the flight began taking off my nerves started kicking but i pushed it into the back of my mind for now 

"hasta la  vista london" and "vete a la meirda cole"
