Walk It Off

Ash looks over his assault rifle, before looking to the morning sky. He reaches up to his chest and pulls out five pairs of dog tags from a pocket.

Ruby walks up to Ash. "Lieutenant Commander?"

Ash puts the dog tags away and nods. "Yes, let's move."

"Right."

Rose pumps his shotgun. "Let's go kick some ass."

Ruby turns to Caleb and Caylnn. "Rose Three, Rose Four, you two are my scouts. Move out!"

Caleb and Caylnn salute. "Yes, ma'am!"

The two begin to run off, Caleb chuckles as he holds up his brute shot. "Oh, this is gonna be so much fun."

Ruby turns to Ash. "Follow me, sir. We'll get you out."

"Right." Ash responds.

The Spartan follows the two ODST and marines as they begin to move through the forest. Tesa takes the lead with her energy rifle at the ready.

Ruby puts a hand up to the side of her helmet. "Alpha Team, This is Captain Rose. We got him, how is it on your end? Over."

Sergeant Johnson speaks over coms. "We got the Chief. Fall back to the extraction point. Over."

"Roger that. Rose out." Ruby puts a hand on her right side and nearly stumbles over.

Rose runs over. "You good?"

Ruby waves her hand. "Yeah, yeah. Just really sore." Some blood drips on the ground.

The group continues to move on.

"What happened?" Ash asks as he aims his gun top of the canyon walls above him.

"Spike to the stomach, we were trying to get your butts lazerd so we can pick you up." Ruby informs. 

"Shit went back real quick." Rose informs.

"Swear..." Ruby mutters.

"What ever!"

Suddenly Brutes howl off in the distance.

"That sounded close." A Marine says.

"Yeah, lets keep moving." Another Marine says.

The group walks past a waterfall and they see Caleb and Caylnn. The Marines watch the back as the ODSTs and Spartan walk over to them.

"What we got?" Ash whispers.

Caleb looks back. "Got a Phantom dropping off some Brutes and grunts."

Caylnn holds up two Plasma Rifles. "This will be easy."

Ruby pulls down one of Caylnn hands. "No, I've got a plan." She points to the cliff side. "You and Caleb take the high ground, and keep scouting on after this."

"You sure you can handle this without us?" Caleb asks, and Ruby activates the Energy Dagger on her right wrist. "Good point."

Rose walks over to the side and puts his hands together. "Come on, let's hurry this up, we need to get Ruby back to base soon."

"I'll be fine." Ruby responds.

"If you're injured, you need to get medical." Ash points out.

"Fine."
