Bakugou was worried about this talk Kirishima wanted to have after Kurai was put to bed. He told him after Kurai went to the bathroom and ever since then, he's had this constant worry about what he had to say.
Obviously it was something bad since he didn't want Kurai in there for it.
Kirishima walked down the stairs and sat himself in front of Bakugou, looking into his eyes.
"I'm sorry."
What?
"I hadn't been paying attention to the fact this had been taking an impact on you as well as me," the redhead continues. "I guess I hadn't thought that you would be upset because you don't... remember anything..." He finished hesitantly.
"But that was wrong of me to think," Kirishima placed his hand over his heart. "So I'm sorry..."
"Kirishima," Bakugou began. He was happy to hear this yes, but lying to Kirishima would hurt him more... wouldn't it?
"That's not why I was upset."
"What? Then what made you upset?" Kirishima asked, leaning forward in his seat.
"Well... Midoriya had called to tell you that there's most likely not a cure for whatever's wrong with me..." Kirishima's face stayed the same as he silently ushered Bakugou to continue.
"But I didn't want to upset you so I didn't tell you, then I learned that not telling you would hurt more than me telling you..." Kirishima sighed.
"You know you can tell me anything right? If it wasn't that obvious already?" Kirishima asked.
Bakugou stayed silent. He wasn't sure how to respond. It was obvious that he should've told him? Why wasn't he angry or upset with him?
"I suppose not," Kirishima stood up, wrapped around the dinning room table, and pulled Bakugou into his chest.
The blond didn't hug him back, he glanced up; though he was only able to see Kirishima's pecs; to look at Kirishima for when he was about to speak again.
"If there was one thing that I was always afraid to lose, even today, was my husband's trust," Kirishima said, stroking Bakugou's blond hair. The blond still didn't say anything, but was now processing.
Why would he be afraid of losing his husband's trust? Kirishima was super nice and kind, how could he lose it?
"You see, you didn't trust many people, if any," the redhead began. "It was always an honor to have yours, which made me feel so afraid to lose it."
"But it appears I had lost it anyways..." Bakugou placed his hand on one of Kirishima arms.
"It's not that I don't trust you," he began. "I just-didn't want you to be upset..." He sighed.
"You already had a hard enough time even looking at me," he told Kirishima. "I didn't want you to see me anymore differently than you already did," Bakugou stuffed his face into Kirishima's pecs after he finished.
"Katsuki..." Kirishima mumbled sadly. Bakugou's chest got warm when he said it. He hadn't, at all, refer to him by his name; besides from when he was at the hospital of course.
