Kirishima couldn't sleep, he spent most of the night crying. It felt as if he had a stranger in his house more than his husband. It pained him to think that there isn't a cure, that his husband would be stuck like this forever. Every awakening reminder that his husband had no memory of him, of them, of their dog; Red, and their daughter; Kurai, was painful.
He missed his husband's cooking, sleeping together; cuddling, everything. It wasn't like his husband had gone to another country for hero work. He was right there. In his reach. But his arms just go through him, like he's a ghost.
He hopes Kurai is alright. She isn't crying about her father being there and not there.
He gripped the sheets that were below him as he cried harder, but silently.
There's going to be a cure! He told himself.
This won't be permanent, I'll have my husband back! He tried to convince himself. It wasn't doing much, but he really needs to be on the bright side if he wants to fall asleep and wake up early tomorrow to get Kurai ready for school. Bakugou normally done it because he's a morning person, Kirishima is not.
Bakugou laid awake, unsure of what he was feeling. Guilt? Most likely. He felt sorry that this man who was so desperate for him to remember him. But he just couldn't. When the doctors asked him all these questions: "what's your name?", He didn't know. Should he had known? Their reaction when he said "I don't know" probably meant he should've.
What was he missing? He was cold without it, no matter how many blankets he covered himself with. It made him comfortable, no matter what position he twisted himself into.
Where was it? What was it? He couldn't just look around for something he doesn't even know what it was. Or...who it was...
Was what he was looking for... Kirishima? He glanced at the clock. Seven fifty-seven. He shouldn't disturb the redhead. Even if he was what he was looking for, he doesn't know him...at least...not anymore. He doesn't know anything about Kirishima. Well, he doesn't remember anything about Kirishima.
Was there once a time he had known everything about Kirishima. He tried to remember but...nothing. He was pushing his brain. He should know by now that he doesn't remember anything.
It felt like being born again. Waking up in a body you don't remember having, no memories of this life that everyone seems to be trying to get him to remember. Nothing. Like he was just born again despite being born already.
He sighed, turning over to fall asleep.

Bakugou woke up early in the morning, feeling well rested. He got up and walked out of the room, the young girl seemingly getting ready for school with the help of Kirishima, who looks exhausted and like he had been crying.
But why? Did it have something to do with him? Probably...
"I'll be back quickly," the redhead said to him, as he and the young girl walked down the stairs, swapping their shoes, and out the front door. The blond sighed and walked to the stairs, standing on them and just looking at all the framed photos.
An adoption paper for the young girl, Kurai Kirishima it read. He looked over at another photo of him and the two people who said were his parents. He looks really grouchy. There was another photo of him, Kirishima, and Kurai. He looked really happy. Kirishima looks really happy.
