This time, Kirishima's face turned red. Had he heard that right? He would've kissed him?
He bit his lip as he looked at Bakugou, though he was looking to the side, down at the floor. His face was almost as red.
They were thinking the same thing that day. They both wanted it.
"Katsuki," he said, a little more hushed this time. "Come here."
Bakugou looked at him, confusion evident on his red face. But, nonetheless, he stepped closer to the redhead.
"Would you do it now?" He asked, pressing a hand to Bakugou's arm, as though to hold him from backing away again.
"Would you like me to?" Bakugou asked, leaning a little towards Kirishima, almost breathing in his breath.
Kirishima opened his mouth to say something, but shut it as he wasn't able to get the words out. The tension has melted and turned to the same atmosphere as last time. Kirishima nodded.
"Will you back away again?" Kirishima asked, his face a little closer.
"No," Bakugou's lips then met Kirishima's. The redhead's hand slid up Bakugou's bicep as his other hand went to go hold the blond's cheek.
Although Bakugou was inexperienced, it felt like he's done this a thousand times. Probably because he has. His lips remembered the experience and was coursing him through whatever this kiss was. His first? His millionth?
It didn't matter.
Whatever it was, it ended sooner than Bakugou would've liked. If it were possible, he'll never stop.
Both of their faces were red as they recollected what just happened. They actually just did that. They kissed.
Bakugou shoved Kirishima away and backed up, almost as though it was on instinct, and covered his red face. The redhead let out a breathy laugh at the similar occurance, though his face was a fierce red.
When him and Bakugou had started dating, the blond would always shove the redhead away after a kiss; he always got so flustered and that was just his response. He found it adorable. Bakugou did eventually just accept the kisses without getting flustered, but his face will still turn a little red.
"You okay Katsuki?" Kirishima asked, getting out of the hospital bed and placing a hand on the blond's shoulder.
"Mhm," Bakugou hummed, nodding and still covering his face. The redhead chuckled fondly.
"Is this what it's supposed to feel like," Bakugou grabbed Kirishima's hand and placed it over his heart. His heart beat going a mile a minute. The redhead laughed a little, very giddy after the whole thing.
The redhead nodded though.
"Is it a good feeling?" Kirishima asked.
"Oh, absolutely," Bakugou confirmed. Kirishima couldn't help the bright smile that pulled from his face.
The redhead finally removed his hand from Bakugou's chest and got back in the hospital bed. He liked being able to just lay down all day without being told he was lazy. So what if he was? He can be hard working and need a little break, he learned that he needed to the hard way. Thankfully though, Bakugou was there to drag his ass (the blond's words) back to bed.
"I feel very happy but like I'm going to throw up," Bakugou wrapped his arms around his stomach. The redhead chuckled again.
"Yeah, that's what love feels like," Kirishima explained. "Don't worry, the sickness will die down after a while."
Kirishima remembers how frightened he became when he realized it was gone, thinking that he was no longer in love with Bakugou but knew that he was. The heart beat speeding up was his recollection because after a while of dating, the butterflies leave, the redness in his cheeks fade as it becomes normal to be in love with the other.
"How are you doing? Almost ready to go home?" Bakugou asked, sitting by Kirishima's feet on the hospital bed.
"Yep, they just have to check me up then I'll be free to go home," the redhead explained happily, but after hearing himself out loud, his smile fades. Bakugou will be here by himself.
He snaps back to reality when the blond places a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry, I'll be fine," he tells the redhead. "But come visit me, yeah?"
Kirishima's smile grew back.
"Yeah, I will," Kirishima grabs Bakugou's hand for comfort. He knows the blond will be fine on his own, after all, he had several nurses and doctors keeping a close eye on him. But he can't help but worry and already miss his company.
"Is this a bad time?" They both looked up and was met with Midoriya at the door.
"No, no, you can come in," the redhead confirms, taking his hand back. It felt odd to do it in front of him. Though Bakugou used to do things like that on purpose in front of Midoriya. He took it as a challenge.
"I'm happy I was able to catch both of you here, makes my day go by a lot quicker," the greenette explained, walking closer. "It's about your memories."
"You finally found these core memories?" Kirishima asked, very hopeful.
"Yep," Midoriya nodded. "We'll get started once you both get out of the hospital, but at least we have a direction to go in."
"That's great," the redhead smiled brightly.
Midoriya waved goodbye before leaving.
"I really don't want to forget this as my first kiss," Bakugou says after making sure that Midoriya has left.
"Believe me, once- I mean if, you remember what our actual first kiss was, then the one we had today would be second to none," Kirishima corrected than confirmed. Bakugou grabbed the redhead's hand.
"I will remember," he told Kirishima, leaving no room for arguments as he continues: "I'll do anything to do so."
The redhead looked like he wanted to say something but instead nodded with a smile and tears falling from his eyes. Bakugou moved his other hand to wipe them away, a small, natural, sympathetic smile coming on his face.
Only ever appearing in soft moments like these, Bakugou's beginning to realize.
Kirishima placed his hand over the blond's to keep it there and nuzzled his head into it. His eyes flutter open slightly and he looks over at Bakugou, a soft smile spreading across his face.
The blond really wants to kiss the redhead again. If he could, he would never stop. But, he's sure he's felt that way before. It seemed like Kirishima was thinking the same thing and they both leaned in to kiss.
Although none of them were really that long as they kept giggling in between them.
"Uh, should we come back later or...?" They both pulled away quickly at the sound of Kaminari's voice and Bakugou quickly whipped around to look at him, both of their faces are red.
It wasn't just Kaminari that was there, but the whole Bakusquad. They all piled into the room.
"Hey Kirishima, you doing okay?" Mina asked, sitting down on the other side of him.
"Yeah, I'm fine, I'll actually be going home tomorrow," he said, a smile on his face, though the red in his cheeks were still there slightly. Bakugou felt a wave of worry go through him and the redhead must have felt it as he grabbed the blond's hand and turned to look at him.
"Don't worry, I'll come visit," he says comfortingly, Bakugou felt a wave of relief wash off the worry.
"Are you doing okay Bakugou?" Sero asked over Mina's shoulder. Bakugou was a little surprised to be asked this and he wasn't sure how to respond. Yeah, he's okay. But...there was that guilt that, even though Kirishima told him that it wasn't his fault, still followed him.
"Yeah, I'm fine," he held the redhead's hand in return. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see Kirishima looking at him with worry, but the Bakusquad started talking about what had happened recently and he gave them, almost, his full attention. He'll ask Bakugou what's wrong after they leave.
