Today was the day. Link bit the inside of his cheek as he bounced his knee. The blonde fixed his shirt for the millionth time as he stared at the small black box on the dresser before him. The hero had everything planned; as soon as they left the Zora kingdom a few days ago, what was making Link nervous was what Sidon would say. Half of Link knew he would most likely say yes; it was a no-brainer that the other male loved the blonde. But the other half couldn't ignore the little voice in the back of his head telling him this was a mistake.
Link shook the thoughts to the back of his head, snatching the black box off the dresser, and stuffed it into his pocket, adjusting himself before walking out the door. The next problem that Link found was finding Sidon. After they returned to Zelda's castle, he found the shark prince disappearing more and more each day. The blonde walked around the palace for what felt like hours until he finally found the other male in the kitchen, sitting on a stool and scarfing desserts into his mouth.
"I knew I would find you with all the food," Link teased, walking further into the room.
Sidon glanced up, staring at the blonde for a long moment. He was sighing as he set the plate down on the kitchen counter. "I thought you had an important meeting," he replied.
"I do, with you." The blonde responded with a grin.
Sidon perked up slightly. "With me?" He parroted back.
Link smiled and nodded, extending his hand. Sidon glanced down at the mostly empty plate and then back up at the blonde. Snacking on a couple more sweets quickly, she slid off the stool and grabbed Link's hand. Leading the other man into the garden, the blonde noted the various plants and water features that adorned the space. "You know how you said that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with me?" Link was questioned with a sigh.
The shark prince exchanged glances with the blonde. "Yeah," he replied.
The male reached into his pocket, giving the black box a small squeeze as he spoke. "Well, I have been thinking about what you said, and I feel the same way." Link continued.
"I know you do, Link; I wouldn't be this size if you didn't." Sidon joked, gesturing toward himself.
Link chuckled to himself, cautiously taking the box out of his pocket. "Yes, your father explained it to me. That's why I want to ask you something very important, Sid." The blonde stated:
The shark prince cocked his head to the side and said, "You're acting weird; do we need to go to the doctor?" He quizzed.
The younger male sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. "No, please just sit and listen." Link said. The taller male took a few hesitant steps to sit on the stone bench behind him and gaze at the male in front of him. Link took a big breath and covered Sidon's mouth as he saw the man opening it. The blonde held up the black box, watching as Sidon's eyes widened, before kneeling on his knee. "I know we have been friends for a long time, and you mean too much to me to not take this chance. I couldn't imagine being with anyone else, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you in our tiny village. So if I could have the honor, will you marry me?" The blonde questioned.
"Why didn't you ask sooner, stupid?" Sidon questioned, pushing himself off the bench scooping Link up in his arms, and kissing him.

Link couldn't stop fidgeting with his tunic as he paced back and forth in the small room of the inn. He was getting married today, and he couldn't shake the feeling of worry that had been gnawing at him for days. He knew he loved Sidon with all his heart, but the thought of being married and committing to spending the rest of his life with one person was making him anxious. He had always been the hero of Hyrule, traveling across the land and facing new challenges at every turn. The idea of settling down in one place seemed daunting, and what if he wasn't ready for it? What if he wasn't meant to be tied down to one person for the rest of his life? His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door, and he took a deep breath before opening it. It was Zelda, looking as radiant as ever in her bridesmaid dress.
Link stepped aside, letting the woman inside. "Link, are you ready?" she asked, slowly entering the room.
He nodded, but his anxiety must have been written all over his face because she took his hand and led him to a quiet corner of the inn. They both sat down on the small bench. The princess set a hand on the other's shoulder and started speaking. "Link, I know you're nervous, but I also know that you love Sidon with all your heart. He's the one you want to spend the rest of your life with, isn't he?" She quizzed.
Link hesitated for a moment, but then nodded. "Yes, he is. But what if I mess things up? What if I'm not ready for this commitment?"
Zelda chuckled lowly, shaking her head. "Link, no one is ever truly ready for marriage. It's a leap of faith, a commitment to work through the tough times and cherish the good ones. But I know you and Sidon have what it takes to make it work. You're both strong, compassionate, and fiercely devoted to each other." She pointed it out.
Link took a deep breath and nodded, relaxing slightly. "You're right. I do love him, and I want to spend the rest of my life with him. Just nervous; what if you need me?" He questioned.
Zelda smiled and said, "You don't have to worry about that anymore; my father and I will find a new champion. You have someone who needs you now." She replied softly.
"What about Zora? Don't they need Sid?" Link asked.
"I'm sure they will figure something out; maybe they'll ask his sister." The princess recommended.
The blonde sighed, "I guess you're right." He trailed off.
Zelda smiled at him. "Of course I am. Now let's go get you married!"
Link followed the other out of the small room, scanning the large crowd as he swallowed thickly. Link walked down the aisle towards Sidon, who beamed at him. As they exchanged their vows, Link knew that he was ready for this commitment, ready to spend the rest of his life with the one he loved. And as they kissed as husband and wife, he knew that he had made the right choice. After the ceremony, everyone moved to the ballroom. The music was loud, the drinks were flowing, and the dance floor was packed with people dancing and having a good time.
At one point, Link noticed that Sidon had disappeared from the dance floor. He looked around and spotted the shark prince sitting at a table, surrounded by empty plates and napkins. Link chuckled to himself and walked over to him. "Sid, you're going to make yourself sick," Link said, shaking his head. The blonde sat down next to the shark prince, pecking him on the cheek as he ran a hand down the large orb.
But Sidon just waved him off, a wide grin on his face. "Good thing I have you to take care of me then." He replied. The blonde continued watching the male eat, grabbing the small stack of plates and bringing them over toward the trash. As the blonde was walking back to the table, he observed Sidon for a long moment, noticing the buttons of his tux were stretched across his belly, showing off the white tunic underneath. Sidon was fidgeting in his seat, letting his large belly sit in between his legs. The shark prince spread his legs slightly further, burping into his Suddenly, there was a loud ripping sound, and Link's eyes widened in shock as he saw that Sidon's tuxedo pants had split at the seams.
"Uh, Sid... I think you might have eaten a bit too much," Link said, trying not to laugh. Sidon looked down at his pants and groaned, his cheeks turning bright red. Link wrapped his arms around the other, pecking his cheek quickly. "Don't worry, it was hot as hell." He whispered.
"Of course, you think that kinky little shit," Sidon whispered, glaring at the other playfully.
But Link just grinned and took his husband's hand. "Don't worry about it. We'll get you a new pair of pants when we get back to the village." He chuckled.
The shark prince rolled his eyes, smirking. "It's a date." He whispered, kissing the male.
