Link moved quickly to get Sidon into the hotel room as soon as they arrived in the village. They unpacked their belongings and placed an order for food for the shark prince. While the older man ate and explored the little village, Link was able to slip outdoors. He popped in and out of various stores, waving to the civilians. Spending most of the afternoon buying and looking at different foods and desserts for Sidon and a few treats for himself. As the blonde walked back to the hotel, panic settled in his stomach. They were coming to the end of their trip. Soon he'd have to go back to Zelda, and Sidon would be king. The older man won't have time for Link anymore; he'd be too caught up in helping the Zora's. Link set a hand on the hotel door, staring at the paint-chipped wood for a long moment before sighing and pushing open the door. The hero inhaled sharply, slowly entering the small hotel room. "There you are; I was starting to think you got lost," Sidon called from the kitchen.

Link walked into the kitchen, placing the small bags on the counter while his eyes focused on his feet. Sidon poked his head from behind the fridge with a grin, scooping the younger male up and pecking him on the cheek. Link must have made a concerning noise because Sidon set him back down and then started speaking again. The shark's words were muffled to the hero, and the blonde didn't speak, letting the shark ramble on about how the food that Link had ordered was amazing and they had to get it again before leaving. The blonde's mind was racing as he curled his hands into fists at his side. "Are you going to forget about me when we get home?" Link shouted, causing Sidon to take a few steps backward while holding his hands up in defense.

"I thought we talked about this; we weren't staying very long. We agreed to go back to the village and live together." Sidon answered carefully.

The blonde raked a hand through his long hair, sighing. Inhaling and exhaling softly, knowing the older male was right. The hero was just getting too caught up in his head about going back home. Link knew Zelda would understand him leaving; everyone at the castle knew how he felt about Sidon. If the hero was honest, he was expecting the princess to throw a party for the two and embarrass them in front of everyone. Link smirked at the thought, "You're right, sorry." He muttered, spinning on his heels.

"Are you okay?" Sidon asked. When Link didn't answer him, Sidon started speaking again. "Do we need to talk about this again?" The shark quizzed, setting a hand on the other's shoulder.

Link shook his head and said, "No, I'm going out again. I gave you some food from the village to try. Please try and leave some for me; I'll be back around dinner time." He replied, quickly pecking the older male on the cheek and storming out of the hotel room.

For what seemed like hours, Link walked aimlessly until his legs gave him, and he fell into a little stone wall, screaming. He bit the inside of his cheek and sniffed as he looked around the lit streets. He was aware that Sidon was either extremely anxious at the hotel or had chosen to come in search of the blonde after he broke his word. However, Link couldn't go back yet—not until he found the perfect ring for the older male. Link wasn't sure how he'd managed to keep the secret from the shark this long; the blonde would sneak away for hours trying to find the perfect ring that not only fit Sidon but also would make his eyes light up, just like the way the shark stares at the blonde.

The blonde felt so bad that he lied to the male, telling him it was to show him around Hyrule; in reality, it was more of a Link needing an excuse to ring hunt. Also, maybe a small before-wedding adventure before they became domesticated. The thought of Sidon domesticated brought a smirk to Link's face. The shark already loved to eat, so that was a no-brainer. But with the thought of Sidon and him eating together every day, or even Sidon eating Link's cooking, The blonde made a mental note to look for some cookbooks in the future. After a few more minutes, Link pushed himself back onto his feet, stuffing his hands into his pockets, and continued forward.

Link's heart pounded wildly in his chest as he gazed down at the tiny black and red ring in front of him. The petite elderly woman sauntered as she approached the display case while the hero writhed his hands together and waited for a shop worker. Turn on a couple of the case's lights before opening it for the blonde. Gradually, the elder women began removing the tiny black boxes and arranging them in front of Link. "Looking for something special?" She enquired.

Link wet his lips, nodding slowly. "Y-Y-Y-Yeah. I want to ask my boyfriend to marry me." He stammered, rubbing the back of his head.

The clerk let out a small chirp, clapping her hands together. "How long have you been together?" The older woman asked.

The blonde could feel his cheeks darkening. "We've known each other for years; we only started dating recently."I know I should wait, but I can't anymore." Link explained.

The woman made a noise, waving her hand toward Link. "As long as you know he's the one, that's enough, dearie. I'm sure he's a very lucky man to have you as a friend," she beamed. "Is there anything particular you're looking for?" She added.

"The black and red one, please," Link answered quickly.

With a nod, the elderly ladies removed the box from the counter and proceeded to the rear chamber. returning a little while later, wrapping the box in blue and colorful paper, and placing it inside a little box. "Good luck, hon." She beamed.

Link said, "Thank you so much," swiftly grabbing the little package and stuffing it into his pocket before hurriedly leaving the store and returning to the hotel. Link saw that the hotel room was completely black when he arrived. He swallowed hard as the blonde slowly moved forward and carefully shut the door behind him. "S-Sid?" he questioned. Link walked toward the bedroom, gently pushing the door open, and found the older male curled up in the bed. Sighing, the blonde closed the door behind him, walked around the bed, and sat down on the edge.

Reaching out to set a hand on Sidon's shoulder, only for him to pull away. "I waited for hours," he muttered.

Link's eyes flicked down to his lap as he picked at his fingernails. "I know; I'm sorry." Link replied.

The older male made a desperate noise: "Did I do something wrong again? Just tell me if this isn't working, Link, and I'll fix it." He begged.

Regret bubbled in Link's chest, opening and closing his mouth a few times. Should he tell Sidon? The blonde couldn't bear the thought of losing the male because he wanted to try and surprise him. Half of him knew sneaking around would already upset Sidon; he just didn't know how bad. Inhaling Link started speaking again. "You didn't do anything wrong, Sid; you're wonderful."

The shark scoffed, "Then, where were you?" He demanded.

Swallowing, Link opened his mouth to speak. "I had to grab something; I promise you didn't do anything." He replied.

The shark rolled onto his side, facing the blonde. "Why don't I believe you?" He quizzed.

Link sighed, "I swear on everything, Sid; you aren't doing anything wrong. I love you, and I do want to go back to the village with you and eat together every day." He sobbed.

Sidon sat up, staring at the younger male for a long moment. Swiftly grabbed Link by the waist and pulled him into his lap, burying his nose in the crook of the blonde's neck. "What did you get?" He asked.

Link chuckled. "I can't tell you yet." He replied.

The older male whined, pouting his lip. "Why not?"

"Because it's a surprise, I need the moment to be perfect."

Sidon rolled his eyes. "Fine, one day I will learn your secrets, hero." He teased.

"It's a date," Link replied, falling asleep shortly afterward.
