"There," Link said, "we can rest there tonight." Link beckoned, and Sidon sighed as he followed the hero. Link dashed down the hill, yelling and hollering as he got near the enormous tent, gently patting the horses before sneaking inside.
"How much further until the village, feels like we have been walking for weeks." The Zora complained, slumping into the chair.
The blonde hero chuckled gently, "It's only been three days," He stated.
Sidon groaned in response, giving his stomach a few pats as it growled with protest. Link kept his eyes glued to the map, biting his lower lip. "It looks like we'll reach Rito Village tomorrow. It's just over the mountain." He announced.
"We don't have to climb over the mountain, do we?" The shark whined.
"No, the map says there is a bridge, we could make it there faster by horse." The blonde answered.
"Do you think I am in any shape to ride a horse right now?" Sidon growled.
"I'm sure we can buy a carriage to go with it," Link replied, with a large grin. Noticing the owner of the tent awkwardly sauntered over toward their table, fidgeting with their fingers as their eyes shifted from Link to Sidon.
"Y-Your majesty, it's an honor to have you here, is there anything I can get for you?" He stammered.
A large smile formed on Sidon's face as Link arched his eyebrow smirking slightly. "One of everything on the menu, and a horse and carriage for our journey to Rito village please," Sidon stated.
"O-O-O-O-Of course! Right away sir!' The owner shouted, leaping slightly as he rushed into the back.
"Celebrity, are we?" Link taunted leaning forward.
"Not everyone can be born great, I understand if you're jealous," Sidon replied.
Link laughed, as the owner brought out the first few dishes, bowing quickly as he backed away. The blonde hero watched Sidon eat while nursing his drink for a few minutes, the smile on his face growing. "Once we get to the village we'll have to restock on a few items, the locals will probably want to have a feast." He stated.
"Have you thought about how far you want to go on this journey of yours?" Sidon asked.
Link paused for a second, he never expected Sidon to agree to gain weight in the first place, we chalked it up to having to lie to the royal prince and find some explanation because he was gaining, but to his surprise, Sid felt the same way. The primary issue would be how large the shark prince would grow on this voyage. Link knew the other could walk to Rito, but Sidon wanted to test how far he could push Link until the hero had to carry the other about in a cart due to his size. It didn't help that the hero had spoiled Sidon rotten.
"I was hoping to travel all over Hyrule and then return home at the end, but it could take us all year." Perhaps more because you're out of shape." Link explained.
Sidon grinned once more before cramming the huge chunk into his mouth. Burping softly into his fist, Link's cheeks deepened. The two ate in quiet until Sidon sighed and rubbed his stomach. After assisting Sidon into a cot, Link draped the shark in blankets, stealing a kiss on the forehead before retiring to his bed.
In the morning, the young hero quietly slipped out of bed, padding out of the tent. Link walked further ahead, scouting out the small dirt path, and marked it on the map before rushing back toward the stable. By the time he made it back, Sidon was already outside sitting in a small patch of grass, his belly sitting in his lap while pressing against his chest. Link slowed his pace, observing the other for a long moment before approaching.
"I scouted the area; I found a small path near the river that will take us right up to the Village." He announced.
Sidon struggled to his feet, gasping lightly as his cheeks turned scarlet from fatigue. Link smirked as he looked at the shark again, his stomach had rounded out in the last few days, pushing against the green tunic he had given the other the night before, Link noticed the belt was missing, which sent a wave of pleasure through the younger male, the mere thought of Sidon's stomach snapping the leather belt sent a jolt of pleasure through him once more, meanwhile, the prince's chest had softened quite a bit, forming two moobs that rested The blonde had to make a double take as he peered at Sidon's chin, recognizing the beginnings of a double chin.
Link continued his voyage toward the river after loading the horse, following the map as they went. Sidon would crawl to the front of the carriage, conversing with the other for a few seconds until a rock or a slight depression in the path threw him backward. Link battled the impulse to giggle as he strained to sit up again, listening to the shark growl.
When the couple arrived in Rito Village at twilight, Link assisted Sidon with the glider as he walked to a geyser and let the air propel him into the air, landing on the inhabitants' modest wooden wharf. Citizens encircled Sidon and Link, yelling inquiries at them. Link massaged the back of his head and waved his hand in front of him. "Can one of you lovely people show us a place to stay for the night?" He questioned.
Link was grabbed by the hands and led along the boardwalk by a small group of women. Sidon looked about at the various businesses, tilting his head as he watched the blacksmith make a few arrows. The shark prince stood there for what seemed like an eternity until the blacksmith glanced up and waved. Sidon lowered his head before sprinting after Link. When he caught up, he gulped hard at the huge pile of food they had already placed out on the table. As Sidon sat down next to Link, his stomach growled in protest.
After a few minutes of watching the hero eat, the prince grabbed a tiny loaf of bread and tore off little slices of it before slowly placing it into his mouth. Link arched his brow, his gaze falling to Sidon's midsection before nodding. Sidon chewed on his bread while the Kaneli crowded around Link, interrogating him. Sidon drank his drink, snatching another roll, and watched the hero for a few minutes, gesticulating with his arms as if swinging his sword again. The prince's mind started wondering back, did Link miss fighting monsters? Sidon never asked Link what Zelda did with the Master Sword after Ganon was defeated. Sidon made a mental note to ask.
A small hand jolted Sidon out of his train of thought, glancing down he was met with two large blue eyes. "M-M-M-Mister Sidon? A-A-Are you and the great hero dating?" She questioned.
Sidon eyes glanced towards Link, as a soft smile formed on his face.
"Yes. Yes, we are." He answered.
