One second Darth Vader was flying his tie fighter outside of the Death Star ready to kill the last Rebel pilot. The next second his tie fighter was shot down by a ship behind him. As he tried to gain control of his fighter the Death Star blew up and he was knocked out.
By the time he regained consciousness he was staring up at two people he did not recognize and his Angel.
Darth Vader would never admit that seeing three faces above him would scare him but it did. It was very unexpected to see them and when he did he immediately used the force to jump out of the cockpit and over Queen Amidala. He thought he was going to breakdown just from seeing her again.
"Ani are you okay?" Padmé said. Anakin began to talk too fast and mumble his words for Padmé to understand.
"Anakin!" Padmé yelled as Anakin collapsed in shock and his inability to breathe after not breathing properly for two decades.
The next time Anakin woke up he was staring at a bright light as he heard people talking in the background.
"Medically he is completely okay and he may have passed out due to stress and a traumatic experience from blowing up the control ship." Dormé said.
"He will be okay your highness" Sabé said.
"I want to stay with him until he wakes up Sabé, he flew a ship into the control ship, and helped us off of Tatooine when we were just strangers to him and he had nothing to gain, both him and his mother." Padmè said.
"I understand that young Skywalker has helped us milady, however, we must get you ready for the celebration in a few hours, your highness." Dormé said.
"I will let you get me ready if you leave someone to care for him while I am gone." Amidala said.
As Sabè opened her mouth to say something, a small voice was heard from the medical bed. "You don't need anyone to stay with me while I am hurt, your highness."
"Ani are you ok. You fainted after you blew up the droid control ship. You also were able to jump very high the same way the Jedi could." Padmé said with concern on her face.
"I don't remember much of what happened but I do remember jumping out of the ship after you and the guards scared me Ang- I mean Padm- I mean your highness."
Anakin could hear the two handmaidens struggles to hold in laughter after hearing the little boy almost call Queen Amidala an Angel and her first name.
"I'm glad you're ok Ani, Padmé said while shooting glares at her handmaidens. I planned for you to stay with my family while the celebrations happen to you can wait for the Jedi to take you to the Temple so you can become a padawan." Padmé said. Padmé did not want to tell Anakin that Qui-Gon Jinn had died while fighting the Red and Black Zabrak.
"I don't know if I want to become a Jedi anymore Padmé." Anakin said with an anger she had never seen him show when she had met him. Padmé was confused why he wouldn't want to become a Jedi.
"But I thought you said it was your dream to become a Jedi.?" Padmé asked the boy who was now looking away from her.
"After going to the temple I don't think I was want to be a Jedi after what they told me. They said I was dangerous because I missed my mother and was scared for her. If I have to never see my mother just to be a Jedi I don't want to be one." It was true, after all the of the hell the Council put him through when he was a padawan, the way the other kids treated him, Obi-Wan not allowing him to save his mother from the Tusken Raiders an-. Obi Wan... the man who betrayed him, who made his wife turn against him, who cut him in half and left him to burn, the man who he had just killed was back and was now younger and stronger. The idea of Obi-Wan made his blood boil.
