Anakin let the Republic try to find anything that could be used to arrest Omega. None was found and once again Anakin wins and the Republic loses. Things stayed the same for the three years between then and the start of the Clone Wars. Anakin was minding his own business one day when the news came out. It was the day of Padmé's assassination attempt. He heard about it from his spies in the Republic. Kit had been working his way up in the Naboo political scene with the name Jacen Zay. He had become an activist for peace and was on Coruscant to help support Padmé's anti-army bill.

When Anakin heard the news, he immediately began to prepare. He told Thomas to go straight to Naboo and wait at  the Varykino lake house. Padmé already knew who Thomas was and wouldn't be surprised to see him. Anakin needed to stay on Tatooine. Being seen on a Separatists planet could mean that people would assume Tatooine would join them. He would never in a million years join the separatists. The Republic also believes he might have been behind the attack. Normally he would scoff at the idea but knowing what he once did, he can't say it's a crazy idea. So for now Anakin Skywalker sat silently in his study and watched his planet from his window.

Thomas Syko knew that this was the day Anakin had been waiting for. They were in the final days of peace before war broke out on the galaxy. Anakin informed him of the Jedi bodyguards. If everything stays the same, Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi should be there with his padawan, Lily Kara. This should also be her first solo mission. From the reports he was given, Lily was a sweet girl who was a very shy and kind girl. She specializes in her use of the force and is ahead of everyone her age. Her biggest issue is her offensive lightsaber skills. Her defense is above the average level but her offense is simply average. She uses a green lightsaber and uses form III Soresu. Lily wears black Jedi robes that contrast from her blonde hair and green eyes.

Thomas Syko entered the lake house after informing the staff of who he was. It may have taken a few mind tricks but other than that, there were no issues. Syko walked into the library full of books picked one off the shelf and closed the door to wait in peace.

Obi-Wan Kenobi thought that meeting with Padmé would bring him joy. Something he hadn't felt since before that horrible invasion of Theed. Instead it brought him nothing. He felt nothing as he reunited with the Senator of Naboo. He didn't know how long he had been thinking when he felt a hand on his shoulder.

Obi-Wan flinched as he felt a hand on his shoulder and stood up with his lightsaber before realizing who he was looking at. Padmé looked at him with a look of sadness and concern. "Are you okay Knight Kenobi. It took you quite some time to realize I was calling for you." Obi-Wan rubbed his eyes before looking back at the Senator. "My apologies Senator, I was simply lost in thought." He turned around to stare back at the Coruscant sky. The city was still bright even during the night. "I think you should get some rest, It will do you no good to stay up for so long." Obi-Wan turned to the Senator. "I may try, but sleep is not something that comes easy these days." Obi-Wan bowed and left the room.

Truth was, sleep hadn't come easy since Qui-Gons death. Nightmares always reminded him of his flaws and issues. Fear kept him awake and scared of failing his padawan the way he failed his master. So now Obi-Wan sat in the guest room simply waiting for another day to start and for this night to end.

Padmé and padawan Kara had arrived on Naboo two days later. Padmé enjoyed the young girls company. She worried for the young girl. Lily was so kind every time she was with Padmé. Not the fake kind people put on in the Senate either, it was genuine kindness and genuine compassion. Padmé also noticed how closed off the girl was. Some conversations could be hard to start or get through due to the girl being so quiet. Lily spoke in short sentences and struggled with social skills. Even then the girl was still nice to be around. Lily was a calming presence and none of their silences felt awkward.

Padmé felt bad for the young girl when they visited her parents house. The girl was obviously nervous about all the attention that was being put on her. Her family was asking her all sorts of questions about what was happening with the attacks on their daughter. Padmé had to stop them quickly before they put Lily into a panic attack. Padmé showed Lily the guest room and let her stay there until dinner.

She should have known Anakin wouldn't just do nothing. She had told him constantly that she was fine and that he didn't need to check on her. Instead she walked into her lake house to see Thomas Syko sitting on one of her couches. Padmé didn't realize she was staring until she heard Lila ignite her lightsaber.

Lila ignited her light saber and stared Thomas down with a glare that could kill. "Who are you and what do want with the Senator?" Lila asked in a cold tone. Thomas simply held his hand up in surrender. "Straight to the point I see. Don't worry I'm a friend of the Senator." Thomas was smiling and looking straight at Padmé. "I wouldn't say we are friends, just associates through a mutual friend." Thomas's smile dropped. Padmé turned to Lily, "You can put away your weapon, he is of no harm to us." Lily put away her weapon but her glare did not falter. "Let me speak to him privately." Lily walked out of the room to wait outside.

Thomas Syko was not happy. He thought that this would be a simple mission. Instead, the Senator and padawan disappeared during the middle of the night and weren't anywhere he could find. He was surprised to hear from Anakin that this was supposed to happen and to not worry about anything. Anakin said everything would soon be set as it should be. Anakin told him to return to Tatooine and meet with him the moment he arrives.

On Geonosis, many Jedi we're killed, the clone army was introduced to the galaxy, and the Clone Wars had begun.
