Anakin Skywalker had only been to the Festival of Lights once. He also wasn't really there for the most part, he was just with Palpatine to save him from bounty hunters he was paying to try and assassinate him. Him and his mother were invited to the festival as well as anyone else they wanted to bring. Of course him, Shmi, Jango, and Boba were all going to the festival. He held Boba as he seemed to always be soothed by his step-brothers presence. Anakain knew Boba as Darth Vader, he worked for Jabba the Hutt as a bounty hunter and sometimes worked for the Empire. Vader hoped this time, he didn't need to become a bounty hunter, maybe something simpler, as he hoped to keep his father alive and stop him from taking the job to assassinate Padmé.

The ship landed and the four of them got them and their stuff together before walking off together. They would all be staying at Varykino with Padmé's family during the few days before and after the Festival of Lights.

Vader and his family were surprised to see Jango and his baby who was very vocal about staying with Vader. Vader wanted to keep training but he wouldn't complain about taking care of his little brother. There were already times when he almost called Jango dad, but he usually stopped himself before it. He had no problem with saying Boba was his brother, however.

While his Jango and his mother were with Padmé's family inside of the living room of the Villa, he was outside by the water with Boba. It was that moment when he saw Queen Amidala and a few kf here handmaidens. They all must have either just arrived or been watching as he sat with Boba in his lap while he was laughing at Vader making him fly in the air.

"Ani when did you learn out to do that." Padmé asked curiously. She was amazed by Anakin being able to make the small baby fly around so casually.

"Oh I found out some things from the force." Vader said as calm as possible.

"How was the force able to teach you to make the baby fly." The Queen still had the famous Amidala mask that nobody could break during her time in the senate.

"Sometimes the force tells me things. Like during the pod races. The Jedi told me that they believe the force created me by itself." Vader said smiling like he used to as a child.

"I do not pretend to understand the force, however, I don't believe that it is physically possible for it to have a child." Queen Amidala said. All of the handmaidens exchanged looks of disbelief. They were probably thought he was just making it up to make him seem better in the eyes's of the Queen.

"Your highness, it may not sound real but you can trust me it is. I would know considering I'm living proof of the force's son." Vader grinned, being proud of having the force as his father.

"Well then I suppose I must concede in this argument." Padmé said while smiling.

Anakin let out a small laugh before walking up to her and hugging her with one harm while Boba stood holding his hand. "Now who is this little guy right here.

Boba smiled as the queen looked at him. "This is my little brother Boba." Boba looked at Anakin as he said his name.

"Well I'm happy to meet you Boba, I believe it is time for dinner." Padmé said as she heard a bell ringing.

Anakin, Boba, Padmé, and her handmaidens all walked back to the house for dinner.

Padmé was a bit late to dinner as she needed to have her Queen's makeup taken off and her outfit replaced. Padmé came back down with her hair in a simple braided bun and sat down right next to Anakin.

Anakin was scolded once or twice about manners but he didn't really care about them. He never did care about proper etiquette, and probably never would. After they all finished eating his mother went outside to the balcony over the sea.

He was watching her run her belly and whisper to his sister. "You're going to love or big brothers. Especially Anakin. I know he is excited for you too. Probably just as much as mommy and daddy. I can see him watching you, and I know he will always take care of you. Our family will take care of you." Shmi whispered and smiled.

Anakin walked up behind her and held her hand. He put his hand on her belly and could feel his sister. She was very bright in the force. Like a beacon of light.

"I love you big brother." His sister whispered.

Anakin smiled in awe at his baby sisters ability to communicate with him. "I love you too little sister."

Shmi watched her son smile as he looked at her belly. She picked him up and walked him back into the house.

Anakin was laid out on Padmé's bed as, Shmi, Jango, and Boba got the guest room. Most of the handmaidens left while Dormé and Sabé shared the couch.

Padmé walked into her room to see Anakin under the blankets holding her other billow while shivering from the cold weather.

"Ani are you too cold?" Padmé felt hurt at the sight of Anakin struggling to sleep like he did in space.

"Im gonna change Ani, and then, I'll see if I can help warm you up." Padmé said and walked into the bathroom.

Once Padmé was out and into a simple white nightgown and slipped in the bed with Anakin. She took the pillow from him and laid it on her side and picked him up.

"Ani, one thing that helps people warm up is skin on skin contact. Padmé said concerned for the boy. I'm gonna hold you while you sleep to warm you up. Ok?" Padmé asked.

Anakin nodded his head and simply put his head into her chest. Padmé smiled and gave him a kiss on his cheek and then head and laid down with him. She shut off the light and rubbed his back as Anakin slowly fell asleep.

Something about having Anakin in her arms did something to Padmé. She felt like his was her job to protect him and to keep him safe. She felt a love for him that she felt for no other. He had always seemed to love her from the moment he saw her. She felt a connection with him that she felt for no other person and that connection felt amazing. She laid her head on top of his and hummed a lullaby to herself until she fell asleep.
