Vader was always good at being a little shit. Maybe he took it too far with what he just did to Padmé. Making her say his name while she was getting fingered was not a good idea looking back on it. But it did help later when the Senators tried to make him join the Republic. She didn't say anything because she couldn't look him in the eye.
He knew Padmé felt horrible about what she did. And to be honest he was feeling sorry for her. Vader didn't voice it though. She didn't know what he did and she never would. The best part was that afterwards she started thinking he was good looking. That wasn't the goal but, it was a positive. He probably would've flirted with her if he wasn't thirteen. But that was her problem now. Maybe he will visit her someday while she isn't at the Senate.
Ekkreth watched over his son from above Tatooine. He watched as he thought of the Senator from Naboo. Ekkreth remembered creating her. He created her to always be with his son. To always love him. It was in her nature, and his son was playing a joke with it. His son truly was Vader more than he realized.
The legend of Vader was lost so long ago to the people of Tatooine. Lost so long ago that he didn't even know he was Ekkreth's son. Not even the people knew who he was. His story was lost to the desert of Tatooine, but it was happening right in front of everyone.
Ahsoka always knew what Anakin thought about his mother. She always thought he exaggerated certain details about her and what she did. But now she could say in full confidence that she was the second best woman she had ever met. The only woman better than her was Padmé. Shmi always made sure Ashoka was comfortable on Mandalore. Aisha and Boba were also great kids. It took her a bit of time to get used to Boba and Jango due to the clones. Once she did, she felt a lot better. Every now and then she could feel Anakin tug on the bond to make sure she was ok.
Anakin came back when the twin boys were born. Nej Skywalker-Fett and Kodo Skywalker-Fett were born in the middle of the night while Anakin took care of the three other kids. He put on a holo for everyone and it ended with Ashoka cuddled up next to him on his left and Aisha and Boba cuddling him on his right. Shmi gave birth in the neighbors house because the man's wife was a midwife. Shmi was brought home that night and slept most of the day on her bed. Same with the twins.
Anakin and Ahsoka spent the next day together. Both helped Shmi and Jango with the twins in the morning. Later they went to eat lunch at a diner not too far from their home. When they left the diner Ashoka tugged on his hand. "Are we ever going to see mom?" Anakin's heart broke at Ashoka's face and words. She wanted to see Padmé but Padmé didn't know her. "I can try and call her and her family to see if they will come and see the twins." When they got home later he called Jobal to see if they would come. It was an immediate yes and Anakin asked if they could speak to Padmé for him. She said yes and said she was happy speaking to him again before hanging up.
Padmé was happy to hear that Shmi gave birth. But of course Anakin couldn't tell her himself. Part of her wanted to give up on getting him to truly speak to her. The other part of her wanted to get him to speak more than ever. Her second meeting with Anakin Skywalker was coming a lot sooner that she expected. She pushed what happened in the slave quarters to the back of her mind and was going to go into this situation with a clear mind.
She called the Queen of Naboo to ask for time off for family reasons. It was granted because she hadn't missed a day since she was appointed as the Senator of Naboo. Her and Dormé packed her clothes and flew to Mandalore as quickly as possible.
It was early the next day when the Nabberies arrived. They arrived when Shmi and the twins were sleeping. They woke up an hour later when Padmé arrived. She walked in to see the two small baby's being held. Nej was being held by Jango, while Kodo was being held by Shmi. She greeted everyone and admired the small babies. Nej and Kodo both burst into giggles which confused everyone but also made smiles appear on their faces. Their questions were answered when they heard a small Togruta child start giggling behind them.
