Branch was feeling nervous and overwhelmed at the same time. He watched as Biggie, Guy Diamond, and Cooper made themselves comfortable in his living room. He felt like the world was ending but it really wasn't.
Are you okay Branch"? The glitter troll looked at him in concern noticing Branch acting more odd than usual. It caused Biggie and Cooper to look at him worried as they both noticed how strange he was acting as well. Branch calmed his nerves down. He knows that he can trust his friends with a life changing decision that he may or may not have been thinking about for the past 5 months. He finally had the courage to tell them about his decision. " Guys I need your opinion on something. "He said as he opened up one of his table dwores taking out a small object. "Sure, what do you need help with?" Biggie asked ready to help causing the other trolls to nod agreeing to help out as well.
Branch sighed and opened up the tiny box that showed a shiny ring waiting to be worn and admired. This caused everyone in the room to freeze as they saw that shiny ring indicating a very special occasion. After 10 minutes of shock Biggie was the first to speak up taking everyone out of their trance as well. "Branch, Do you really want to do this?" The teal troll chuckled nervously. "Yeah, after thinking about it for five months I really want to." He said as he closed the box setting it back where he put it before. "So what made you decide?" Cooper asked out of curiosity making the others curious as well. "I just enjoy having her around." Branch said not sure what made him decide. The three trolls looked at each other thinking the same thing, except Cooper who was off in his own world.
They all know how much Poppy and Branch love each other and can clearly see how happy they make each other and they would never get in the way of that. Guy Diamond was the first to speak. " Branch, I think you're making the right decision." He said speaking softly in his dad voice. "You really think so?" Branch was getting more and more confident knowing that his friends were supportive of his decision that he was planning to make very soon. " I'm sure she'll be very happy that she get to marry you." Biggie says happily. "I know I am! Oh wait, I'm not married to you!" Cooper laughed at his statement confusing everyone in the process.
But a sudden thought entered Guy Diamond's mind now thinking about the topic. It is super important to get her father's blessing. "Have you talked about this with King Peppy?" He asked out of curiosity knowing how well organized the teal troll was not forgetting a single important thing on his agenda. Branch smiled. " I asked him a month ago, he gave me his blessing." This caused everyone in the room to cheer about the great news knowing that they were one step closer for a big moment in their friends lives. Branch could tell how proud they were of him and he was super glad to know his friends would support them.
" Well, I say we celebrate by getting milkshake." Branch suggested that offer that they quickly accepted. They all headed out of the bunker as happy as ever making everyone in the village do a double take as they noticed how happy the group seemed to be. After hanging out with the guys over milkshakes, Branch was now back in his bunker working on proposal plans. He wanted everything to be perfect but he knows that it's not that simple as he knows from experience.
He suddenly heard the elevator to the bunker going down and quickly put his plans away just in case Poppy was visiting. Once he felt like he did everything well he made it back into the living room the same time Poppy got off the elevator. He couldn't help but admire how beautiful she was and that one of these days he was going to ask her to marry him and he hoped she would say "yes."
He heard her clear her throat that got him out of his trance turning his attention to her. "Are going to keep staring at me or are going to welcome me home?" She laughed as he went to give her a hug holding her tight. "Welcome home gorgeous, how has your day been so far?" He asked as he pulled her over to the couch instantly cuddling and holding on to each other. He listened as she told him her hectic day that she had to go through being queen but ended up having a great day in the end. She smiled up at him as she finished her story seeing what he thought of it but she could tell he enjoyed it.
He gave her a quick kiss before getting up and asking her a quick question. "Are you hungry?" He asked already knowing what her answer would be. He always loved making sure if she needed anything. "Super!" She exclaimed as her stomach growled out of hunger. "Make me some food!" The Pop queen demanded to her boyfriend already making his way to the kitchen. Branch turned around with a smirk on his face. "You have to say the magic words first." He watched his girlfriend groan in annoyance. "Please, make me food!" She begged politely so he could do wat she says faster. He smiled at her but not before telling her that the magic word was "I love you." He walked back into the kitchen satisfied as he heard Poppy scream in frustration with his answer. He wished he saw the look on her face.
