Day 4: Hanging out with friends.
A continuation of the last chapter. Satin and Chenille make sure that the dress incident will be talked about in front of Branch whether she likes it or not.
Hello, And Welcome to our Friendsgiving party." The twins greeted the couple allowing them to come inside. "Wow girls you really outdid yourself". Poppy was feeling proud of them. "No problem, we love spending time with our friends." Chenille smiled at both of them. "Why don't you make yourself at home while we wait for the others to come." The couple made their way to the couch and sat closely with each other. "And by the way, your dress fits perfectly on you!" Chenille blurted out while Satin giggled silently. Poppy looked at Branch who was looking at her who noticed how tense she was looking. She smiled at him before giving him a quick kiss.
After a while a few more of their friend came over. They played games, teased Poppy more about her dress, and dance the night away. Even though the twins knew what they were doing, Poppy didn't let those comments get to her. She was super grateful for Branch being oblivious towards the whole situation as she happened to wear one of the dresses they made in a spam of 3 weeks. Her train of thought was interrupted when Smidge had revealed that it was time to say what they were thankful for. Poppy immediately volunteered to go first. They were very supportive of her until she revealed that she made a list which was very long but they all sat through it until she was finished. "And I'm very thankful for all of you." Poppy finished off and sat back down. "That was very nice of you Poppy." Smidge complimented her little speech being the only one who payed attention along with Branch. "It's should've be short jus like your.... Before Chenille can say anything else Poppy kicked her really hard from under the table causing Chenille to yelp in Pain. Satin looked at her with concern before she turned to Biggie to go get an ice pack from the fridge.
Branch looked at his girlfriend who was completely trying to keep her cool and make it seem that she didn't just kick her friend on purpose. He decided that he would talk to her about it privately because his girlfriend's behavior was starting to concern him. After more people said what they were thankful for. They ate food, played games, and eventually had dessert. They all had fun until it was getting late and each of the friend group decided that it was time to go home one by one. Poppy and Branch were the last ones to leave. "This was a really fun Friendsgiving." Poppy said. "Yeah except where you kicked me all because of..". Chenille didn't get to finish her sentence as she saw Poppy sped passed her quickly thanking them for their hospitality.
Branch apologized for her behavior not understanding what was making his girlfriend nervous. "I just don't know why she was acting this way." Branch looked on confused while the twins smiled widely. "We'll tell you!" The twins exclaimed knowing Poppy is not here to stop them.
Later that night, Poppy and Branch were spending the night together cuddling after a long day. Poppy leaned up to kiss Branch which he gladly kissed her back making their makeout session super intense until he pulled away from her leaving poppy disappointed. "What gives my guy!" She was super annoyed with him stopping. "I know about the dress." He says softly. He noticed she went from annoyed to horrified with what he was talking about. Poppy took a deep breath and sighed. "Branch you have your way with initiating thing and I'm okay with that." She looked back at him. "I wanted a way where I can do the same time no problem. So I asked Satin and Chenille a huge favor and it was whatever they told you." Poppy purposely left out the "kissing" incident but she'll save it for another time. "So I might have overreacted." She laughed as she remembered the events and her behavior. "I understand, you wanted to do whatever made you comfortable. You don't have to do anything that overwhelms you." He really didn't want her to do anything that doesn't make her comfortable. "Thanks Branch." He crashed his lips onto hers continuing where they left off only for Branch to stop it again. "What did I tell you the first time?" Poppy was getting impatient with all the interruptions. He laughed at her outburst. "I'm curious to see what some of the dresses look like if that's okay with you." Poppy stared up at him in awe before getting off the bed and running to her closet. She never thought she needed it but she was super glad the twins not only made her usual outfit but she was really glad they made her something revealing. She was going to make a thank-you basket later. Poppy looked at herself in the mirror making sure she looked good before taking a breath calming her nerves. She finally walked out of the closet and made her way over to Branch who was waiting for her on the bed. Let's just say it was the best night they'd ever had together.
The next day Poppy visited Satin and Chenille as she wanted to give their thank-you gift In person. "Why are you giving this to us?" Chenille questioned but she was still upset about being kicked. Poppy smiled, "It's just a sorry gift for my behavior." The twins took the gift basket. "And those outfits that you made for me worked so well, I had the best night of my life." Poppy blushed as Satin and Chenille turned to look at her with stunned expressions before saying "Girl, Tell us everything!" They pulled her to the couch ready to hear about what occurred the previous night. Poppy really needed to learn how to keep things private
