Branch notices that Poppy is wearing the promise ring he gave her and is super grateful for it.
He noticed something shiny on her ring finger but didn't think anything of it because she wore jewelry all the time when she wanted to.
But once he took a look at it he needed to do a double take to see if his eyes were playing tricks on him. He immediately teared up a bit but quickly got himself together. He was in deep thought when a voice caught his attention.
"Branch!" Poppy yelled from the kitchen. "Uh, yes?" Branch asked hoping to play it cool in front of her. "I'm making Spaghetti for Dinner do you want some?" Branch thought about it for a moment. Why would she ask if I want some Spaghetti if she was going to make some?Dinner is Dinner. He thought. "Because just in case you didn't want it you could have something else." He heard Poppy explain as if she read his own mind. "I'm fine with Spaghetti." He answered so she was already getting everything ready.
He made his way towards the kitchen and just watched her. He kept admiring the ring on her finger. Now Branch was already looking into the perfect engagement ring that he wanted to find for her. He couldn't wait to call her "his forever wife." His happy thoughts were soon interrupted when he felt his girlfriend's arms wrapped around his body giving him a hug which he happily embraced her back.
He sighed happily. "Watcha thinking about?" She asked looking at him with a visible smile on her face. She loved it whenever he was in a really good mood.
Branch leaned down and kissed Poppy's forehead softly before grabbing her hand and playing with the ring. "I'm super grateful that you are wearing this ring." He answered kissing her hand in the process. "It just means so much to me." He continued, giving the pop queen another hug before putting his hands on her waist.
Poppy wrapped her arms around his neck. "It's my way of showing that I love you and I would never stop loving you." Poppy giggled. "That's good because I would do something so insane just to prove my love for you." He chuckled a bit, he had already made a list of things he'd do for her written down somewhere.
Her face blooms into a smile so brilliant in its intensity that he can’t help but pause a moment to bask in its warmth. Colliding and engaging in a breathless kiss that leaves them both dizzy.
Poppy pulls back from Branch slightly, extending her hand to her boyfriend, who takes it and laces their fingers together immediately.
They were just so crazy about each other and nothing could ever tear them apart not even if they tried to. Their connection was just too powerful.
