Poppy was feeling tired and achy after what she and Branch did that night.
Branch looks after Poppy as best as he can.A lingering soreness spread over Poppy's body as she felt his arms around her. Branch's chin was resting on the top of Poppy's head, and he was quietly whispering how much he loved you. Branch was perhaps the sweetest troll she had ever met, once she had found a way through his tough, grumpy exterior.
It didn’t stop Branch from being a bit rough with her when he was showing Poppy how much he loved her though. He’d tried out all sorts of positions, drove both of them to the brink of exhaustion, and most importantly… He’d gone all night. Being tired hadn’t been enough to stop either of them.
But now… Poppy, or rather her body, had a few regrets.
“Branch …” The pink girl whispered quietly after a few minutes of him simply just hugging you. “I don’t feel like I can move properly…”
The teal troll then stroked his finger across her cheek, and laughed quietly. “Am I that good in bed?”
“Branch …” A quiet whimper escaped Poppy, before she pointed over to the bathroom. “It hurts… We were going all night and I’m all sore…” Poppy tilted her head back as best as she could, before feeling him slowly shift himself so that Branch was able to get off the bed.
Poppy watched in slight pain as Branch then went digging around in the pile of clothes which had formed the evening before, and pulled out his shorts so that he could wear them. “I’ll be back in a minute.” Branch then walked into the bathroom, leaving Poppy sat on the bed, only her aching body for company.
After a short while, a slightly sweet smell began to waft into the room. It was almost like… Strawberries? It made Poppy feel curious over what Branch was doing, so she awkwardly took hold of the bedsheets and pulled some over her shoulders before walking over to the bathroom door. Branch threw it open moments later, and his eyes grew wide.
“If you’re hurting, walking about isn’t a good idea.” Branch made her then shed the blankets, before he scooped Poppy up as soon as he noticed her knees quivering. “I’ll help you relax…” the teal troll then sweetly whispered, walking her into the somewhat dark bathroom.
There were some candles lit in the corners of the bath, and they were letting off a soft yellow glow into the room. Bubbles filled the bath, and Poppy realised that there was a bottle of strawberry scented soap just at the side. So that was why the room smelled so sweet.
“Um… I won’t get in the bath with you, but I’ll help to wash you and relax in the water…” Branch whispered when she felt the heel of her foot touch the bubbles, before her body was lowered into the water. Branch allowed Poppy to adjust to the warmth for a moment, before she felt one of his hands on her shoulder. “Where hurts the most?”
Poppy closed her eyes for a moment. “My legs and back…”
“Okay…” A few moments later, the pink troll felt him pour some of the warm soapy water over her back, allowing the warmth to help ease her aches. Soon, his fingers were pressing lightly into her skin, as though Branch was trying to give Poppy a gentle massage. The Pop Queen gave off a quiet sigh, and she noticed the corners of his lips turn up. “Does this feel good?”
Poppy turned her head to face him, and laughed quietly. “Is it bad that I want to say that this feels even better than last night?” Branch leaned forward after you asked that, and pressed a kiss to your forehead.
“No. It’s not bad. I might have to keep you busy all night even more just so that I can make you happy like this.” Branch splashed a bit more water over her back, before his fingers moved to her legs, and gently pressed against her muscles to help out in relaxing Poppy even more.
His gentle touches and quiet whispers, alongside the calming ambiance in the bathroom was enough to send Poppy off into a light sleep, and Branch took that as a sign that it was perhaps time to get her out of the bath. The teal troll then began to drain the water and lifted Poppy out of the bath after he had blown out the candles.
The quiet wheezing of her breath as Poppy slept was cute. Branch liked it. It just made her even more adorable, and made him glad that she had chosen him over any other troll like Creek.
Careful not to wake her after he layed her down on the bed, Branch went and started to seek the softest towel possible so that he could dry Poppy's body off. After that, he went and found some clothes which he could easily pull onto Poppy in order to not wake her up.
His night shirt it was.
Eventually, Branch went and recovered the blankets from near the bathroom door, and tucked Poppy in to the bed. He too was hit by a slight wave of tiredness at the sight of her all huddled up after that though, so Branch ended up getting under the blankets next to Poppy. Even though it was five in the morning, he didn’t mind falling asleep by her side.
“Night, cutie…”
His arms wrapped around Poppy, before he pressed a kiss to her forehead as he began to drift off to sleep.
