They say that the first indicator of a tsunami is the way the tide will rapidly receed from the shoreline.
Living in Japan my home is quite susceptible to a tsunami, which is why this fact is spread like wildfire to everyone.
Nobody wants to get caught in a tidal wave.
As an elementary boy I would boast that I wouldn't die from something as simple as a wave.
And that anyone who does is just weak.
After all its just WATER
Right?
The other kids would laugh and agree with me. Because it's seriously just water.
But now I'm a big kid,
Literally and figuratively
And I'm starting to understand why a wave might be so dangerous.
"You'll probably never swim again."
