“Are you sure you’re paying attention?” Jin’s voice interrupts his thoughts.

Taehyung leans to his side, towards his personal assistant and nods even while knowing it’s a lie.

“Of course I am,” he mumbles tiredly.

“Are you going to see him again, the boy you talked when we left last week?” He asks.

“The boy,” Taehyung mutters, shaking his head. “You make it sound like he’s far younger than us.”

“He is ,” Jin states.

“I mean, maybe. But I don’t think he’s under twenty,” he whispers. “Right?”

“How the hell would I know?” Jin asks back.

Taehyung looks back to the front where the presentation is being explained. This is turning out to be a much longer meeting than he expected. All the departments want to have these investments and it’s made them organize long explanations about why they should receive them. Taehyung is worried he’ll leave the meeting and Jimin will have left already.

“It’s been a while since I’ve felt like myself, I won’t just let it slip away so easily,” he replies.

“Well, I hope you’ll have fun, at least. It’s been so long since you’ve done something for yourself.”

Fun. Taehyung rubs his chin with his hand. He’s not sure what he’s expecting out of this. Maybe he just wants something to take his mind off things, maybe he and Jimin can be friends. He’ll figure it out along the way but what he does know is that he wants to see Jimin dance to his song again, this time the whole song and preferably, somewhere he doesn’t have to be worried about being found.

Taehyung managers to focus on the rest of the presentations and weakly organizes all the documents that he’s been handed by the different areas. The presentations have settled his mind about a few decisions but there are still things he has to look over before signing the official documents. He’ll have to read over the papers in order to make his final decision.

“Thank you so much for your time and for showing me a little bit about every area,” he says, as soon as the lights are turned back on. He gets up and makes his way to the front of the conference room. “I’ll make sure to read the documents you’ve given me before the final decision. Let’s schedule a day to sign the papers, shall we?” He asks.

Taehyung had hoped that he’d be able to close the deal off after today’s meeting but it’s not that much of an easy thing. It’s better to take his time because this is also supposed to favor his company. And at the end of the day, he wants to make sure that a lot of students will find benefit from the investment.

“That sounds like a good plan, Mr. Kim,” the Vice Dean says, standing up and motion for everyone to follow. “It was a pleasure having all of you here and we’re looking forward to signing when the final decisions are made.”

Taehyung nods and everybody moves to say goodbye.

As they leave the conference room, the Dean approaches him and Jin. She’s smiling and she seems pretty excited. Taehyung might not show it that much, but he is too.

“Mr. Kim. Thank you so much for coming today,” she says. “The meeting has been informative, I hope?”

“It’s been great,” Taehyung assures. “All of the areas have a deep desire for this investment and I’ll make sure to take that into consideration before bringing the official documents.”

She nods rather happily and claps her hands together.

“I know it’s a little bit late now, the meeting was longer than expected. But, would you still like to see the theatre room?” She asks.
