Jimin makes his way towards there. He places his backpack on the sofa along the way and takes his shoes off in favor of making it more comfortable to dance. He settles in the middle of the place and spreads his arms around him. He moves around tentatively, making sure he’ll have enough space to move around as he wishes.
He lets his eyes move towards Taehyung before he can stop himself and tries hard to focus back on his task when he realizes the older one is unbuttoning his sleeves and rolling them up to the middle of his forearms. He’s discarded his tie and unbuttoned his shirt as well. Jimin reaches down to touch his toes, stretching his muscles effortlessly.
He sits down and spreads his legs to reach in front of himself and place his hands on the floor. He feels the pull under his skin, body slowly starting to warm up.
“Do you want something to drink?” Taehyung asks. “Sorry, I should've offered before you started,” he adds, combing his hair backwards.
“That’s okay,” Jimin assures, lifting his chest up and pulling his feet together, knees coming closer to his body. “I can drink water when I’m done.”
Taehyung nods.
“I’ll go get that,” he mentions, before disappearing into the kitchen.
Jimin watches him go and sighs as soon as he’s left alone. He closes his legs and reaches towards his feet to hold them. Taehyung really does make him so nervous. He’s sweet and attentive, but at the same time he’s so intimidating. Not just the fact that he has so much money and is an important person. It’s something about his aura, so calm and collected, even if he seems to get embarrassed so easily.
He also seems to overthink a lot, which Jimin goes through half the time. So, he gets it. How he’s constantly apologizing and worrying about the things that he does. Jimin leans back and lays down, eyes closing. He takes a deep breath. He’s not sure of what other song he can dance for Taehyung. He knows a few other choreographies, of course but he doesn’t practice them as frequently as Serendipity.
It’s a song that holds a deep meaning to him. It came out in a moment in which he needed it a lot and he hasn’t stopped listening to it ever since. It’s different to dance to it, compared to other songs.
He startles when a thud interrupts the silence around him and his eyes snap open to find Taehyung smiling awkwardly.
“Sorry, hit my foot against the center table,” he mumbles. “Brought you water,” he adds, gesturing towards the glass he’s placed in front of him. “Are you okay?” He asks.
Jimin nods.
“Just focusing,” he explains. He slowly stands up and rolls his head gently. “How will we play the music here?” He asks.
“I got speakers installed to the ceiling,” Taehyung mutters, reaching into his pocket and taking his phone out. Jimin watches him tap away on the device before the song starts playing around the whole living room.
“You’re joking,” Jimin mumbles, looking up at the ceiling. The song reverberates across the room, loud and beautiful. He looks around as if he could literally see it. “It sounds so good,” he mumbles.
The song is cut off just a second later and their eyes meet once more.
“I’m glad you like it,” Taehyung says, smiling.
“I’ll start now,” Jimin says, smiling back.
Taehyung nods and settles back in his spot. Jimin gets ready to start. This time, it’s easier to get into it. He’s not as nervous as the first time. As soon as the song begins once more, he effortlessly starts dancing, following the music, getting lost in it. It’s easier to forget about Taehyung’s presence. His mind completely blanks out and everything turns into this, Serendipity.
