“Sorry if that wasn’t meant to be seen by anyone, I tend to be very curious,” he goes for, feeling his cheeks heat up as the boy watches him attentively.
He’s beautiful in a way Taehyung doesn’t tend to see. His features are delicate, but at the same time, so strong and powerful. His gaze is intense, eyes pretty. He’s wearing what seem to be dangling earrings and his white clothing is big on him, although it seems to be intentional. His feet are bare and he’s standing awkwardly in his spot, still under the reflection of the light. Taehyung wonders if he can see him properly, since he’s in the dark.
God, he really must look like a creep.
He makes his way towards the beginning of the rows of seats and stops when he’s right in front of the stage.
“You dance very good,” he says, showing him a small boxy smile.
The boy seems to snap out of his trance, blinking in confusion and then taking a hesitant step back.
“Sorry, I just wasn’t expecting anyone to see…” he trails off. “Yeah. The theatre room is closed because it’s in maintenance,” he goes on.
“Is that so?” Taehyung asks, leaning his arms over the stage and looking up at the boy. He’s a bit further away but up this close, Taehyung can see him much better. “Then you shouldn’t be here either, right?”
The boy seems taken aback by his answer but his expression is still calm. He crosses his arms over his chest.
“Technically, nobody knows I’m here, so…” he trails off. A smile takes over his lips.
Taehyung smiles as well.
“Well, I’ll make sure to keep your secret,” he assures. “If you tell me about that song you were dancing to,” he adds.
The boy cocks an eyebrow.
“Why should I?” He asks, although he’s taking a seat and crossing his legs in the middle of the light.
Taehyung props his chin against his hand, elbow on the stage and tilts his head to the side.
“It’s very pretty,” he says. “I want to know more about it.”
“It’s called Serendipity,” the other one explains. “It was produced by an anonymous person but it’s by far my favorite song to dance to. All the melodies and the feelings it expresses, it’s just so easy to get lost in it.”
Taehyung finds himself smiling even more.
“Are you a dance major here?” He asks curiously.
“And who are you, hm?” He asks, ignoring Taehyung’s question. “You ask a lot of questions.”
Taehyung hesitates. He doesn’t seem to know who he is. It’s good, it doesn’t happen frequently. Taehyung has grown to be as famous as an idol, recognized everywhere, followed around by the media, involved in rumors that literally pop out of nowhere. He hesitates because he worries his name will give him away. He doesn’t want to leave yet, though and he wants to continue with this conversation, so he doesn’t have another choice. Plus, he really wants to know this beautiful boy’s name.
“I’m Taehyung,” he presents himself.
“Taehyung,” the boy repeats, as if testing the name in his mouth. “You’re dressed pretty formally,” he mentions. “Do you take lessons here?”
“Do I not get to know your name?” Taehyung shoots back.
The boy falters. He shakes his head but there’s a smile on his lips. Taehyung is having fun as well. He likes this. That strange thrill that comes with talking to such a beautiful being and feeling as if there’s something else going on here. He doesn’t know who Taehyung is and it’s never felt better to not be recognized by someone.
