TO SAY DILARA is nervous is most definitely an understatement, she hasn't stopped picking at the skin around her nails to the point there's evident irritation near her cuticles. she doesn't really know why she's so nervous because it's only a matter of going to the triplets' house which her younger self had done way more times than she could count. it's also not as though she hasn't seen the triplets before because she saw them a few days ago and she got along with them all, including matt which still surprises her. she's also going to be accompanied by the rest of her friends which should make her feel better but it more makes her feel out of place.

from what she has observed, the entire friend group is exceptionally close and maybe indira searching the triplets up had dilara feeling curious so she did the same later that day, looking at a few of their posts and even glancing at the ones where the entire group was present. she can tell they're all bonded tightly and she has this sinking feeling inside of her that slotting herself into the group isn't right, like they're going to be disappointed that their tightly knit bubble is perforated by a girl they don't even know anymore. so naturally, her overthinking has led to nerves and is the reason she is currently second guessing going to the house altogether.

maybe it's best she just stays home and stops interacting with them altogether so she can save them the hassle of having to awkwardly tell her she doesn't really belong with them later on. she has almost convinced herself to do exactly that when she receives a message from nick, at least that's what the new number says, about how he's excited to see her. alas, her plan is immediately thrown out the window as she quickly types back a response, saying something similar and ultimately deciding to just get over herself. if she's anxious, she sure as hell isn't going to let anyone else know she is, despite how anxious she truly is. she's going to run with the motto fake it till you make it.

with one final sigh escaping her lips, she exists her house and makes her way to her car that is parked in its unclaimed yet claimed spot on her street. she's just about to step inside when someone stops her, calling her name out almost hesitantly as though they're unsure as to whether or not it really is her. she turns at the sound of a voice and finds a girl standing there, looking to be around maybe fifteen or sixteen, if dilara had to guess that is. dilara offers the girl a smile and nods her head in response and the girl immediately lights up, making dilara's own smile widen at the sight.

"i'm sorry if you're in a rush or something. i just wanted to say i'm a really big fan and i love your music so much," the girl's tone is a little shaky and it's clear she's trying her best not to sound as anxious as she is.
