MATT SIGHS SOFTLY, glancing at the time that is brightly displayed across his phone screen and noting that it's past 3 am and he's still not asleep. he takes a short look to nick to see if he's not alone but nick is fast asleep with a miniature smile adorning his face as his breathing patterns shift, signalling he's falling into a deeper sleep as the seconds pass. now matt had initially fallen asleep a while ago but he woke up around half an hour ago for some unknown reason and is struggling to fall asleep once more.

he decides he's feeling thirsty after
heaps of tossing and turning and so, he slowly slips out of the bed, making his way towards the door and opening it gently to make sure he doesn't wake nick up. he thinks he can vaguely remember where the kitchen is so he walks the small distance to the stairs and then tries his best not to make the floorboards creek as he goes downstairs. his eyebrows furrow when he notices the light to the living room is already switched on. if he remembers correctly, dilara most definitely turned it off before she sorted out their sleeping arrangements but then again, he was tired and probably hallucinating.

his confusion however only grows when he walks into the living room and spots the kitchen light also turned on dimly. he follows the light source and opens the door and suddenly everything makes sense. he can see dilara's phone atop the countertop and she's standing in front of the refrigerator, a rustling noise escaping the vicinity and matt assumes she's probably looking for a snack or something to eat. he ponders clearing his throat to catch her attention but ultimately comes to the conclusion that scaring her will be much more amusing, well to him at least.

he's honestly surprised she still hasn't noticed him because of how close he's standing to her but it's not as though he's complaining because a few seconds after, he jokingly says a small, "boo."
