MATT WALKS IN to the prep room to see dilara pacing back and forth, evident nerves within her as he notes the way her hands are fidgeting with the frails of her dress and her eyes are trained solely on the ground, almost burning holes into the tiled floor. he can tell she's extremely anxious from the way she doesn't even register him coming inside or standing there waiting for her; he's certain she hasn't even noticed his presence so he clears his throat slightly and he receives small confirmation to his thoughts when she jumps slightly, putting her hand to her chest before calming down when she realises it's just matt.

he walks over to her and opens his arms out for her and she basically collapses into his arms with her arms moving to wrap naturally around his torso firmly as though she's afraid holding him any looser will make him disappear altogether. he allows her to hold him for a while, not saying anything at all so she can find some source of comfort through her worries. she doesn't speak either, simply holds onto him whilst he brushes one of his hands through her hair and rests his chin atop her head, soothingly toying with the strands in an attempt to calm her down and clear her busy mind. it appears to work given that after a while, her grip seems to loosen and the tension in her shoulders dissipates as she steps away from the hug, giving him a sheepish smile that he just finds so fucking adorable.

"i'm sorry," she whispers and it's said so delicately that matt just wants to hold her again, wants to never stop holding her because of how fragile she seems.

"you have nothing to be sorry for lars, you're amazing, you know that?" he tells her and she beams at him and his words, releasing a small breath of gratitude in the process, allowing herself to feel more at ease with her surroundings and all that is shortly going to happen.
